In the Bible, it says clearly that no one should make a dare to edit or correct the Bible by any words. But many chapters and contents are extremely censored from the original Bible. How is this acceptable, and how do we know the truth and full story about the entire life?...
I’m sick of using google maps, they started putting gigantic ads for stores on the map and I’m tired of them tracking me. So I ask you Lemmy, what should I switch to?!...
As a kid I imagined the future as being able to hold a TV in your pocket, and flying skateboards. For the latter I guess electric scooters will have to do
I’m thinking in the U.S. and Canada. For example, if you’re on vacation, you’ve checked out of your hotel room and have several hours until your flight, and you have some cans of beer left over. I know you could sneakily drink them in a park or something, but I’m just curious if there’s any way to do it that’s legal.

I just hit 10 hours in Earthbound on my Anbernic RG280V. I’m looking forward to trying some more SNES games once I’m finished (Super Mario World, Street Fighter Turbo II, Zelda: Link to the Past, etc.)....
It just seems crazy to me given the power imbalance. A cynical part of me suspects that things are playing out exactly as some evil strategists hoped they would, which, given all the children dying, is super-depressing....
It’s split pea or ham and potato for me....
Now that Google , FB wants to trap us and control every aspect of the Internet browsing, Is it even possible to break free....
Edit2: Writing this from Pop_Os! I had experience with Mint for my Self hosting rig and wanted to see other pastures. Decided to rearrange my three drives, two of them are still Windows, another I emptied and dedicated to Pop OS. That way I still have easy fallback to Windows if I need to do something fast and then I’ll know...
It seems the general direction the internet is going and I’m all for it
I mean, I get it. For bingewatching to be effective such option must exist. But I just can’t imagine to skip Star Trek intros. It’s part of the anticipation, the joy, the ritual. What about you? Do you skip intros?
It often surprises me to see people with time, money, and knowledge settling for subpar experiences that have night and day differences to me. Even at my brokest (pretty darn broke), speakers, headphones, and glasses were always worth researching and some saving up, and the difference between what I’d end up with and the...
