I have Openfire set up with the monitoring service plugin which we have been using with Pidgin on the desktop. One of the things I’ve noticed is that when I sign in to another computer on the same account, I do not get a history of recent messages (which I thought the monitoring plugin was supposed to provide)....

We’re visiting Niagara Falls (highly recommended, by the way) and there are far, far more Muslims here than I have ever seen at any other tourist spot I’ve been to. There are also a ton of Middle Eastern and South Asian restaurants and that’s who seems to own a lot of other businesses here too....

I see some laptops are coming out using RISC-V cpu arch, will they not have Intel ME/AMD ME ?
Example I think lemmy.world has more sorting features compared to other servers and different software I also assume. So how does that work when communicating with other servers that don’t have code as sophisticated or lack certain features?
I gather some server is for some arcane reason censoring naughty words to protect our delicate sensibilities. Is it on my end, on lemmy.ml? Is it the server people are posting from? Is it something happening in the federation? Is it the Romulans?
