I have the original Gran Turismo and Colin McRae Rally 2.0 for PS1 on disc, playing on a PS2 slim and PS3. On both, I can steer with the D-pad but not with the analog stick, even though both games advertise analog controls on the box....

Why is it not more common to implement anti-cheat on the server instead of the client? Is that not more secure? Couldn’t the server just check what vision a player should have and not provide any other information to prevent wallhacks or maphacks? Or check how fast it is possible to move to prevent speedhacks? I made it most of the way through without looking anything up which means I’m definitely missing stuff, but once I got to Xen I couldn’t figure out what I was supposed to be doing several times. I think I’m two sections away from beating the game....

I am using restic for backups. I would like to use a non-root user to backup my docker volumes. As the files in the volumes have very different access rights and groups, accessing them is difficult without root rights....

This laptoo has Fn as default instead of F keys. I hate it. I found several solutions for different vendors to switch state in bios. Is that the only option?
