Feeling lost and with no direction, what skill should I learn?

Hi everyone. I am feeling like I’ve lost any direction after getting laid off earlier this year (was working as an analyst in telecom and very recently landed a much lower position in healthcare data entry due to necessity). I already have several hobbies but I am either burnt out on them or they have lost their luster...

you’ve already got the green thumb, maybe look into mycology (mushrooms)? lots of fun to learn, especially when you get into agar and stuff. although, might not be the biggest time occupier that you’re looking for

hmm, i feel like Law, Feng and Asuka are some good ones to learn with. also general advice, basic but keep your eyes on the other player, focus on reacting instead of preemptively doing moves

the different grabs are good to know. there’s charge attacks and stuff too, they’re a little less important in tekken though. most characters use a similar set for getting those first couple hits in, then string that into the special moves in combos. youtube vids help a lot

This is probably a ridiculous question, but I usually stream from my laptop to my LG tv or my phone to any other tv, and I find that using my VPN keeps the casting output option from working. Like in Popcorntime, the Watch Now doesn’t show my tv, only the laptop app or VLC. On my daughter’s fire stick I can’t even cast to...

my issue right now is that i use one of those charging + 3.5mm splitters in the car, but when they’re both connected there’s a loud ass buzz. a 3.5mm ground loop isolator works but made bass sound terrible. i’m probably gonna get an old phone just for music in the car 🤦🏽‍♂️

i like my car :( and i’m paranoid about features in new cars. i can hear a noticeable difference in quality with bluetooth vs wired too. never been a fan

I haven’t had anything to do with windows in like 5+ years. I need to set up a laptop with it for someone tomorrow, I’m guessing W11 is nowadays recommended? what’s currently the best option for a hassle free experience (no ads, no random game installs, no migrations to onedrive, etc)?...

for work, I use 11 pro education activated with KMS. removes some of the advertising and telemetry. i don’t recommend using a debloated script for set and forget, just go through every privacy setting

On Windows, there is a Secure Audio Path API to prevent interception of the audio signal.

this would mean no, you’re not good.

and you need to take their second bit of advice to heart! always shoot for higher bitrate files if you’re learning to produce. manipulating lossy files will often sound nastier, so get FLACs/WAVs of the songs instead. with those two reasons + the fact that Spotify could possibly have unnoticeable watermarks while streaming even if it does work, I would strongly advise against getting your samples this way

fwiw if it’s any easier, deezer usually has a similar library to spotify, and free-mp3-download.net downloads from there with a bit better quality too.

i can also recommend soulseek if you’re not already aware of it, it’s a lot easier than trying to find music torrents
