Niagara launcher is the best and the first launcher I ever bought. Very simple and minimalistic and somehow I love the list app design. no clutter

mega.nz is way better than a lot of these cloud storage services+ you get 20 GBs for free. They also have achievement programs where you can get more storage for free. For example, installing the MEGA desktop app will give you an additional 5 GB of storage and installing the mobile app and verifying your phone number can give you another 10 GB of storage. That is very generous!

I see a lot of people mentioning Libretube, the only deal breaker is I can’t login but love that it’s open source and minimal than ReVanced. is there a way to login to my g account on Libretube?

what’s everyone’s thoughts on Vivaldi?

@sma3in@lemmy.world avatar

Love them!! I’m still on pixel 4a and been a fan since the nexus era and I have decided to make it my main flagship forever. unless something changed. the only company piquing my eye right now is the “nothing” company but not switching

Organic maps is amazing. I tend to use MAPS.ME for general commute and also it has a great offline feature to download maps when I’m in a different country. definitely a better alternative to Google maps

I would definitely support the developer if it was a one time purchase. Paying monthly for an app to browse lemmy ain’t it for me

I switched from chrome to Firefox 5 years ago but for some reason, Firefox loading acts weird and video playback also is weird…Eventually moved to Vivaldi and I’m pretty happy wit it so far.

fantastic work lemmy team. with this pace I feel like lemmy will do it and lemme tell you, reddit will suffer a big loss!!

lemmy apps you should try and experiment with (lemmy.world)

I made a folder with my fav lemmy apps that I tried so far, and they are sorted by favorite to less favorite. By far, wefwef is my most used and I do switch to lifoff sometimes. Also, the official lemmy app is really not bad compared to reddit’s official app. I would say try all of them and see which one works the best for...

I agree connect has the smoothest scrolling experience of all of them but there is something about the UI and theme that keeps making me go back to wefwef. we can’t really tell now but with time I guess, all of them will be enhanced and less buggy, and it’ll be just a matter of preference.

this feels nice to use but I can’t seem to get into lemmy.world. is it meant to be used for other instances?

sma3in OP ,
@sma3in@lemmy.world avatar

yes sir!! been using niagara launcher since last year and just switched to Vivaldi on desktop lately. damn man, I don’t ever see myself using that google launcher ever again on my pixel phone no matter what updates they bake

bro we get it haha!! summit is actually a good alternative. just tried it and it seems so fluid and love the default AMOLED dark theme it comes with. might be my third new fav!!

sma3in ,
@sma3in@lemmy.world avatar

nothing wrong my guy. it just that apps feel more fluid and smooth than web apps on mobile. wefwef is web based but it feels great to use.
