Will I be able to do exposure stacking with the overlay module?

hanke OP ,

She’s a sly fellow, if I may. The males are green and brown :D

hanke ,

Kagi user here.

Bought a month to test it and then went for a year immediately afrer. I really like it!

hanke ,

It’s like a pozidrive roundhole without the roundhole

hanke ,

Because you seem to have networking capabilities

Link to cocktails community please! Love making them, love sipping them!

hanke OP ,

Thank you! It makes me glad to hear :)

hanke OP ,

As @kokopelli@lemmy.world says, long exposure with a cheap DSLR camera. Just rested it on a wooden structure to keep it still and took the shot for 6 seconds :)

hanke ,

Only if you’ve ever touched your self.

hanke ,

It being a completely open platform means there will definitively be data collection. Some entity will scrape the fediverse for data. It’s free, open and unprotected.

hanke OP ,

I took this on a Nikon D3200. The aperture is set to f2.2.

hanke OP ,

I had a walk by a nearby dock and this guy was working on some wood. There isn’t much more about it :)

Is it worth buying the Mac keyboard for a dedicated Linux PC instead of the windows one?

What is your personal preference based on experience? I Assume because Mac is Unix and Linux is Unix based, it would be more suited, but I have no personal experience with the layout. I am willing to try something new if i hear enough merits for it, and I also find the windows layout somewhat inadequate(The grass is greener on...

hanke ,

I believe you are fixating on something that won’t have much impact regardless of what choice you make. I have been using “windows keyboards” on Linux for years with literally no problems (related to keyboards and Linux). I mostly game, browse the web and work as a software engineer.

Focus on what feels good physically/ergonomically for you and your workflow and you’ll be golden.

The only caveat I’d throw in there is if your keyboard of choice has some sort of RGB program for Windows or other custom software. It might not be as simple to control that functionality from Linux, but in many cases there are open source Linux alternatives for that software.

Let me know if you create the community!

Nice! Looking forward to see some facts!

Looking to make the switch

Hi everyone, looking to make the switch from windows. I’m reasonably technically apt but not a programmer by any means. I’ve been doing some homework on which distro I would like to use and pop_os kinda feels like the right direction. I’m running an Nvidia 3060TI on a Ryzen 5600 chip set on an Asus tuf motherboard. Any...

Why tve Debian version? I’d recommend Linux Mint as well, but I’d recommend the normal one.

hanke ,

I get your point. But Linux Mint does not have Snap by default, so that does not really apply.

I’d still recommend the normal Ubuntu based one since there is so much easily available help out there for any Ubuntu based system.

The Debian dist is (iirc) just there in case Ubuntu becomes unsuitable as an upstream in the future. I would treat it as a safe backup option, not a primary choice and def. not something I’d recommend to beginners.

But that’s just my take on it :)

hanke ,

Is there a orphancrushingmachine community yet?

hanke OP ,

It was shot with a pretty high ISO (3200), so the grain is just noise. I have applied some noise reduction, but didn’t want to lose to much detail, so there is some left in there.

hanke OP ,

Thank you! I’m glad you liked it :)

hanke ,

I often just do

<span style="color:#323232;">docker ps | awk "{print $1}" | xargs docker stop
</span>

Add some filtering in there and you’re golden

hanke ,

I think it has to do with creativity!

The CLI tools are just small simple tools. The power comes from having the understanding of how each tool works and how they can be combined.

I don’t remember this string of commands, I know docker, awk and xargs. When I need this, that is the solution I always end up with.

Situations like these are the strength of the fediverse. Move your account to an instance that shares your values or doesn’t care about stuff like this.

Maybe you shouldn’t even have had your account on the largest server to begin with?

Edit: Didn’t mean to ridicule any of you all. I based my comment on my experience when I signed up. At that time there were plenty of instances to pick from and getting approved at my instance of choice was very quick. My bad.

Vilken Lemmy app använder ni? Swedish

CHROME (google) is planing to implement DRM (kinda) into their browser (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

looks like rendering adblockers extensions obsolete with manifest-v3 was not enough so now they try to implement DRM into the browser giving the ability to any website to refuse traffic to you if you don’t run a complaint browser ( cough…firefox )...

hanke ,

I believe the people still ranting about Reddit just have not yet given up their hope in returning there some day when Reddit has “learned their lesson”.

For some, Lemmy is just a temporary protesting statement.

hanke ,

Uppskattar infon! Får man veta vad ni gjort? :)
