I haven’t even read the article yet, and my cynical ass came to the same conclusion based on the headline. 😣

Haha. My partner has Verizon, and they have parts of Marlborough where it just completely cuts out. I know that Wal*mart, and it’s just over the city line. AT&T is slightly better.

Conceptually I like this Eurovision knockoff, but even the thought of listening to and picking the top three of 72 songs is exhausting. Can we have semifinals?

I will be in Sweden next week, and I can’t wait to try all the new cakes.

My first thought was a new block list for Lemmy or Mastodon admins.

Just found this setting earlier in the day, before seeing your comment. That was annoying and such an unnecessary grab on Microsoft’s part.

We used to have this (scan-as-you-shop) at Wegman’s in the northeast US, but at some point they decided to withdraw the program to re-think on it.

I got too excited when I saw the first half of the headline. :P

Admittedly their fees are blatant because Uncle Sam basically handed them the whole market in the 2010s, when they were allowed to merge with Live Nation.

higher wages for the servers... by the customers. Fnbs (lemmy.world)

Went to a restaurant in LA today and when I got the check I noticed that it was a bit higher than it should be. Then I noticed this 18% service charge. So… We, as customers, need to help pay for their servers instead of the owners paying their servers a living wage. And on top of that they have suggested tip. I called bs on...

At least this restaurant due is showing their own ass.
