I have a couple of work MacBooks with 8gb for managers and they often complain of them going slow as molasses when having a good few tabs open in chrome. I’m talking less then 10 though, but heavy sites like email and AdWords and other horrible sites.

Not always. Windows has a built in delay function. And business often hold back while testing is done.

Waiting 6 months is fine to let improvements come out and fix any bugs previous updates might have introduced.

If something major comes out that needs patching immediately, since we’re all tech heads and have our nose in the news constantly, then you find out about it and update there and then. No biggy.

Sunbird just relayed messages back and forth using a Mac mini in a warehouse. They probably had something that read the messages app on there and sent to their app on the phone through their servers, and seemingly forgot to encrypt anything during this process.

This is actually sending messages as iMessage. It’s been reverse engineered which is an incredible feat, iMessage has been out like …10+ years? And no one figured it out yet until this 16yr old rocks up.

Sony currently do a cool thing with their stands where you can place them in 3 or so different position along the tv if you wanted. Finally someone thinking!
