I think it’s dumb for actors to discuss these sort of things publicly and I also think it’s dumb for the media to keep reporting on people’s opinions like it’s news. Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one and they usually stink.

Yeah sometimes you just gotta laugh about things and move on. Losing your temper usually doesn’t help.

Also you can often change what happens to you. If someone is treating you badly don’t let them keep doing that, correct or avoid them. If your bed is full of cracker crumbs, change your sheets.

The biggest bills are usually from heating and cooling. In the winter try to set your thermostat a few degrees lower and just use a blanket while you’re sitting watching TV or whatever. Usually if you’re up moving around doing housework or whatever being cold isn’t a problem.

Also if you have a hot water heater you can set it a few degrees lower and it won’t use as much energy.

The energy produced in December 2022 was small — it took around 2 megajoules to power the reaction, which released a total of 3.15 megajoules, enough to boil around 10 kettles of water. But it was sufficient to make it a successful ignition and to prove that laser fusion could create energy.

Since then, the scientists have done it several more times. On July 30, the NIF laser delivered a little over 2 megajoules to the target, which resulted in 3.88 megajoules of energy — their highest yield achieved to date, according to the report. Two subsequent experiments in October also delivered net gains.

Promising results, hopefully it can be made practical at a large scale.
