If they wouldn’t apple would still sell lightning ports instead of type c, if government regulate behaviour of citizens they should regulate behaviour of corporations too, USA government said that corporations have legal rights as persons but somehow they don’t have same obligations as persons while they should have, if do A then do B it’s pretty simple

I use mine everyday, and i was one of the first to adapt to wireless headphones when they was just Chinese exotic headphones (before apple and Samsung wireless headphones even existed) and i spotted few cons of using them before they even got popular, main problem of using them is battery and secondary is latency when you pause resume video alot, there are also alot more like signal interference in places with lot of WiFi hotspots so i returned to using wired headphones around time when first apple tws was presented, i use modular wired headphones so i can change wires if they break and always have some spare, also modular headphones can be connected to Bluetooth modules making them effectively tws and when their battery goes bad then you’ll just change Bluetooth module and that’s it

I’ve been using duckduckgo for half a year already they’ve became quite good compared to Google search, Google maps alternative is any popular maps app just try what’ll fit your tastes, but YouTube is certainly don’t have alternatives YET just because libre alternatives though exist but not yet in shape enough (basically we need datahoarders who’ll hoard and host whole youtube to libre alternatives such as framatube and others) for now we can only rely to custom frontends such as clipious, piped and others and custom apps of course

Lower frequency have longer distance coverage, higher frequency have better speeds but shorter distance coverage, and here is common wavelengths of WiFi 2.4GHz 5GHz 6GHz, also new WiFi stands adds new features like mi-mo was added in WiFi 5 and something something raycasting WiFi was added in WiFi 6 and i honestly don’t know what been added in WiFi 7 but specs gonna be better for sure

recommendations for lightweight window managers for an old netbook

Hi, I’ve got an old netbook from Samsung that has an old Intel Atom CPU (Intel Atom N455 1.66 GHz). I installed Arch on it and am now thinking of a suitable window manager. I tried Hyprland (kinda expecting it to not work really) whick didn’t start at all. Before I had Debian with Gnome, which technically worked, but...

It's funny how google pretends the music on YouTube isn't straight up piracy and everyone just goes along with it

Most people have extremely weird ideas of what’s considered piracy and what isn’t. Downloading a video game rom is piracy, but if you pay money to some Chinese retailer for an SD card containing the roms, that’s somehow not piracy. Exploiting the free trial on a streaming site by using prepaid visa cards is somehow not...

Switching to Debian on my gaming pc

Hello everyone - I have been wanting to ditch windows on my gaming pc for a while now, and since I have recently finished a large project, I now have the free time to switch. I am relatively comfortable with Debian having used it for a while on my web server as well as school laptop, but I am concerned about using it on my...

I was daily driving arch for 5 years and decided to switch two months ago just like you now and running Debian 12 happily, tried fedora, set subvolumes to timeshift btrfs to work because it was not installed out of the box, and after update from 38 to 39 with official gui update tool, it broke and locked away ssd so i had to recover data, after that i installed Debian 12 and had no problems at all, machine ALWAYS ready to work and stable as fuck, heavenly experience so far actually

If cooked properly tho, i ate pineapple pizza and pineapples tasted like canned tomatoes so it was good, i dunno how they achieved it, but it was good, but most people imagine pizza that’ll taste like classic pizza with sugar syrup slapped on it and i can understand that, they just didn’t tried proper pineapple pizza

I mean, if console is jailbroken then yes, it has most of the benefits, but if not then most of the world can buy only few games in month at most, and some can’t buy at all, gamepass is a lifesaver in that sense, you can buy it for 50$ per year if you buy from resellers

Ultrasound can push vaccines into the body without needles (www.newscientist.com)

Vaccines can be delivered through the skin using ultrasound. This method doesn’t damage the skin and eliminates the need for painful needles. To create a needle-free vaccine, Darcy Dunn-Lawless at the University of Oxford and his colleagues mixed vaccine molecules with tiny, cup-shaped proteins. They then applied liquid...
