Which platform? Desktop or mobile ? For android, there’s “jtx board” which works for me pretty well.

You’re welcome! Glad I helped 😊

What's a good NAS and server system under CAD$900 (USD$658)?

I am currently using an old laptop (circa 2015) with a 250GB SSD in it, and 4GB of RAM. It runs Fedora 39 Server, and only hosts a Jellyfin instance through Docker right now (though I want to use Nextcloud later too). There is only 15GB of storage left on it, and the CPU is constantly overloaded (due to forced transcoding). I...

What do you do for a calendar? New to selfhosting/homelab.

Hey All, I am just getting started in my journey. Part of my goals is to de-google my life and am looking to start with my calendar. I want to to sync with my laptop and my phone. I was going to start reading about nextcould because it seems like it would have the stuff I need and more. My question is what does the community...

Linux Note-taking app that supports CalDAV

Hi, does anybody know any notetaking app which supports sync with caldav server ? I am self-hosting a Radicale server which on android with DAVx5 client and jtx Board app works pretty well! I have searched on web but haven’t found any desktop alternative to jtxBoard yet which supports this protocol. Anybody using this setup ?

Linux

psy32nd OP ,

Yes. I use thunderbird for all the other caldav features. So being able to use the app for notes will be the best thing.

psy32nd OP ,

Umm. Definitely it’s in my to-do list. But for now I just wish Joplin had some caldav features in it :(

psy32nd OP ,

Thank you. Will check.

psy32nd OP ,

But it’s not what I want. KOrganizer’s is a full fledged journal with a date, whereas I need a simple note taking app without a date.

psy32nd OP ,

Its okay man

Hmm Logseq ui is good.

If it was a trick to do, could be applied to iphones too

Cloudflare Alternative

What do you guys use to expose private IP addresses to the web? I was using the npm proxy manager with Cloudflare CDN. However, it stopped working after I changed my router (I keep getting error 521). Looking for an alternative to Cloudflare cdn so I can access my media server/self-hosted services away from LAN....

Create an aws account (new if already have) to use it’s 12 months free tier, setup OpenVPN Access Server (tbh easy process), go to admin panel and enable dmz. Connect to the server from your local machine with an openvpn client. It can be used to open as many ports as you want.

Just follow this tutorial and you will have Radicale setup via docker. Radicale is lightweight and really does help me to get away with all the caldav/cardav necessities.

I had Readera Premium purchased 3 years ago when I wasn’t aware of really great free softwares’ existence. I had bought it because of it’s simple interface and thought it could help me with OPDS (auto sync between devices or other apps), but it didn’t help me other than by just being simple. That’s why I am currently hosting my own OPDS server (Kavita) to sync my progress and read from it’s web interface and Librera app (really powerful and open source). I am thinking of moving to Calibre Web from Kavita because of ease of uploading books. You can try Librera which is a really great and powerful pdf/book viewer/reader with/without OPDS.

Neo Launcher. Very stable on my Samsung so far. Open source.
