What are the best features of Lemmy that aren't available in Reddit?

Could we send electric data across time?
Given the fact that data is an electric circuit of ones and zeros, flowing at the speed of light, could we technically send information across time?
The fediverse is an opportunity learned societies can’t ignore (blogs.lse.ac.uk)
How many USB hubs can you daisy-chain to a single port and what will happen if you connect too many?
Given that all of them are all powered hubs so power won’t be the issue and you have enough space to put them. How much will it impact performance, latency or other things I don’t know about? Or it will straight up kill the port if there are too many hubs?

Equivalent to Reddit "subscribe" feature?
I am notified to comments made on post I’ve made, but how can I “subscribe” to a post that someone else created? I’d like to be able to easily see additional comments as they are made....
is it a good beginner Python project to write a hacking software??
I am currently writing a hacking software in Python (tkinter) that hacks scripts and looks for wireless devices… But it’s fake!! It only pretends to do stuff and has nice graphics but it’s like those websites that pretend you’re hacking. Would that be nice?? And it’s open source too, so it will not harm anyone.
Youtube has started to artificially slow down video load times if you use Firefox (old.reddit.com)
Spoofing Chrome magically makes this problem go away. The slow down is 5 secs according to the video....
Exciting news! The free API you were using is no more free! (feddit.it)
Exciting news for who? Only the site owner is excited that a free resource now requires a subscription...
What existing organizations should start hosting fediverse instances? Which ones are already doing so?
TLDR: This is a long post, so a shorter question you can respond to is:...
Is there any way to reverse degrowth of the niche communities on Lemmy?
Like others, I came over when Reddit was banning 3rd party apps. Many communities were being started and I wanted to help. So I chose one community to form here and try and grow. And we did! There was a time a short while in the little KC Chiefs community was in the top 100 communities on Lemmy world. I knew that wouldn’t last...
What does .: come from / what does it mean?
I’ve seen .: used two times now, and I really wonder what is? The first time I saw it was in an extract from the Swedish dictionary SAOL in NE. They used it something like this so:...
Every year without fail. Beautiful, perfect weather then suddenly on Halloween…miserable cold snap (Degrees in F) (lemmy.world)
Then you look at the temperature and think eh…45 isn’t that bad. We’ll survive. That will be the moment the wind whips up and sleet starts hitting you in the face.
When we think of thunderstorm in terms of mythology we usually think of gods being angry, sad or at war. I wonder if there are cultures out there that think of thunderstorm are just Gods farting.
Shitsoft Teams doesn't work on firefox (lemmy.world)
It’s just infuriating, there is no good reason for not supporting firefox

What should I name my Firefish instance
I run a server calckey.world , which used to be CalcKey, but the software was re-branded to Firefish. Unfortunately, firefish.world is taken. What domain should I use for my new Firefish instance? Preferably a .world domain....
When does the future begin?
Will Lemmy soon drive Innovation in the Fediverse?
Currently lemmy is like the speedboat next to the heavy steam boat of Mastodon etc. While lemmy is still dynamic and flexible and can introduce new features easily without scaring off its established user base, mastodon can not do such experiments so easily. Now, if lemmy gains more momentum in the fediverse and establishes...
What does Bluesky have that Mastodon doesn't?
Is it just the momentum and word of mouth, or are there improved features as well?
