I still use kbin social when it is up though I have been using here on kbin.run and I have been testing fedia.io. I did make a matrix to try and keep in contact with other kbin users but I think a lot of us are already spread out to different instances.

Is it more energy efficient to charge a phone/tablet using a desktop/laptop while your computer is being used vs using the charger? (kbin.run)

I was just thinking if you are on your computer anyway would it just use some of the excess electricity that your computer would have wasted or would it be worse than charging your phone from a charger while using your laptop separately.

Its about time people bring up the .ml tankie problem. Lemmygrad was defederated but .ml was ignored due to basically being their PR instance.
This is the main reason I have stuck to kbin social despite it having a lot of spam and errors and why I am now on Mbin.

My solution for bloatware is this: by law you should hire in every programming team someone who is Like, A Guy who has a crappy laptop with 4GB and an integrated graphics card, no scratch that, 2 GB of RAM, and a rural internet connection. And every time someone in your team proposes to add shit like NPCs with visible pores or ray tracing or all the bloatware that Windows, Adobe, etc. are doing now, they have to come back and try your project in the Guy’s laptop and answer to him. He is allowed to insult you and humilliate you if it doesn’t work in his laptop, and you should by law apologize and optimize it for him. If you try to put any kind of DRM or permanent internet connection, he is legally allowed to shoot you.

With about 5 or 10 years of that, we will fix the world.

They actually did that? I havnt been to Maccas in years due to no vegan options besides coffee with soy milk though their coffee is not that good anyway. I dont expect the wifi to be fast but I expect to be able to use it for stuff other than looking at the menu.

While I think Hentai showing that stuff is disgusting AI is worse because you need to get the training material from somewhere so its far from victimless. Edit: I just learned that it does not have to be in the dataset though there should be regulations that forces the companies to open source the data set.
