DudeBro ,

Yeah I was going to choose the sleep mask until I saw the coin. If everything goes my way then I effectively have the powers of the glasses and the frying pan, plus unlimited luxury from lotteries, discoveries, opportunities, etc. The cooldown needs to be nerfed, or maybe add a negative debuff to the tails side.

DudeBro ,

I just want to generate cool d&d scenes, but it REALLY does not like it when you input “dwarves fighting”

DudeBro ,

I do this, but I like to respond with a loud and sudden “WHAT” which is probably less funny and more obnoxious but it usually gets a laugh

DudeBro ,

Was that knight planning on just charging head first into what he perceived to be a stone castle wall?

Fuck me what a horrifying/exciting time to be a computer science student. I feel like I’m either going to be obsolete by the time I’m handed a degree or my job will basically be doodling and asking a robot butler to do everything for me.

I need a low budget laptop

I want to create a setup where I have a powerfull PC at home, and a lightweight economic laptop to carry around like at school to take notes or watch media on the go. I’d like to spend around 250 euro, and for the os linux is ok. Thanks for the help. P.S. sry if the sub doesn’t fit but I didn’t know where to post this...

DudeBro ,

Chromebooks are pretty cheap, and basically made for college students to take notes and watch youtube. You can dual boot linux on them pretty easy.

Genuine question for the homies who have played Spider-Man 2: did they write Miles to be any more interesting? I liked Spider-Man 1 Peter’s dialogue and jokes, like, a lot. I enjoyed playing as Miles in his own game, but I thought the character was boring, just, so so boring. Especially in contrast to Spiderverse’s version of Miles. I haven’t bought 2 yet, is Miles more fun to listen to this time? Could I enjoy Spider-Man 3 as a full Miles game if I thought that the Spider-Man: Miles Morales game had a disappointing protagonist?

DudeBro ,

I think that the motive should be allowed to be dumb, and their mistake was making Thanos appear lucid and competent. They really should have leaned into “the mad titan” thing and made him act more like an unhinged despot.

DudeBro ,

naw I’d say Drax, Starlord maybe, and Hulk if he was in Hulk mode are all written to be comically stupid

but yeah that’s probably it, most would survive

DudeBro ,

I’m gonna make my own (thing)! With blackjack! And hookers!.. In fact, forget the (thing)!

it can be used in so many contexts and the last line usually gets a laugh.

DudeBro ,

Man, the GBA had so many great RPGs on it, even if half of them were SNES rereleases. Also how did you get a copy of Mother 3, lol

DudeBro ,

I really wish Baldur’s Gate 3 had a shared party inventory. It’s already partway there, I can still move a potion from Astarion’s inventory to Shadowheart’s inventory now matter how far apart they are. It’d just be nice if I could save a few minutes of inventory sorting if everyone just pulled from one mega inventory that added everyone’s encumberence together. The way its implemented now just adds several unneccessary steps that don’t even matter because of the magic pocket system.

DudeBro ,

It’s unfortunate that the character development and stories in FF3 and FF5 are subpar, because their class systems are phenomenal. Vice versa for FF4 and FF6, which had great characters and stories but pretty boring character progression/customization IMO. It’s like Square could only do one or the other, not both.

DudeBro ,

Nope! There is literally nothing connecting them. Each game is a different story in a different setting. In many cases, they can be a completely different genre of videogame.

DudeBro ,

Yup, light beers are great for college parties and outdoor drinking games. Cheap and you can drink literally all day without geting too drunk or bloated which is kind of the point of the product. Witbeers, lagers, etc are for when you actually want to get drunk off of a few beers and enjoy the taste. I think that anyone who genuinely compares the two have never actually been invited to a party where they serve alcohol or they just want to feel smugly superior about something and chose beer consumption of all things haha

DudeBro ,

BG3, yes it’s as good as everyone is saying it is.

Also Pikmin 4. The game is a cozy puzzle/strategy collect-a-thon, I highly recommend it.

DudeBro ,

Right? BG3 seems like it’s going to be a gateway game into more CRPGs for me. I think I’ll try my best to enjoy Divinity OS 2 afterwards as well, but I think my problem with that game is more about the unbalanced, nonexistent class structure and random difficulty spikes rather than the genre, which BG3 fixed by using tried and true D&D rules. But maybe I’ll see it from a different angle and appreciate it more.

DudeBro ,

I tried Divinity OS 2 split screen with a buddy, the game requires too much saving and reloading to have an enjoyable time in multiplayer mode tbh.

DudeBro ,

Smash Ultimate’s ruleset manager is a treasure. I have a ruleset for 3 stock no items final destination sweaty mode, one for 3 minute timed match w/ items so everyone can play at the party no matter how often they die, one for stamina no items w/ FS meter so its like a classic fighting game, one where you can only throw homerun bats at each other, one titled BOMBS SUDDEN DEATH, etc. Fucking phenomenal.

DudeBro ,

definitely destiny but could also kinda work for Prey 2017

I am a schmuck on the interwebs who went to school for microbiology and I can say for certain that the human body does not violate the 1st law of thermodynamics. Calorie deficit = your body must free up stored energy (in fat) to have enough energy to continue breathing = weight loss. Unless your body is able to create sustainable free energy out of a vacuum or unless you have a horrible genetic disorder that breaks down your bones for energy or unless you are dead

DudeBro ,

I might be wrong, but aren’t whales the target demographic for microtransactions? It’s not like the majority of players are buying them. It’s a “vocal” minority that make the business model viable via insane spending habits and the rest of us just have to deal with it.
