If you exclude Breath of Fire, MM Legends, and a handful of other things, this is probably a mostly bullshit title anyways…

Big_Boss_77 ,

Seeing Henry and Hans running around getting into mischief… I’m there for it.

Big_Boss_77 ,

I’ve always heard it explained that the “fulfillment of the law” doesn’t abolish them, it fulfills the obligation and renders it moot, paving the way for the new covenant with Jesus as the penultimate sacrifice.

Big_Boss_77 ,

I mean… if you’re going to start getting shit together… there are worse places to start.

Robotic 'Third Thumb' Makes Tasks Possible With One Hand; Can Be A Game Changer For The Disabled (www.ibtimes.co.uk)

This controllable prosthetic, the Third Thumb, attaches to the right hand, granting wearers the ability to perform a slew of one-handed tasks such as grasping objects, opening bottles, sorting cards, and even peeling a banana.

I just about said “as long as there’s no barrotry” but I’m not 100% convinced he hasn’t done that now too…

Big_Boss_77 ,

How do you keep the birds out of your mulberries long enough to get ripe? Not a big fan of netting trees… but other options are fair game.

Big_Boss_77 ,

Ahhh… I bet you’re right. Mine are all out in fence rows, where I don’t see them unless I intentionally go after them.

Big_Boss_77 ,

Huh… never seen this, I’ll have to check it out. Got some wild black berries I’d like to protect too. I try it out on them. Thanks for the idea.

Big_Boss_77 ,

I’ve done the pie tins and cds and stuff, results were always wildly inconsistent, but a lot of old timers around here do that.

Big_Boss_77 ,

I miss my note 10… Cherish it as long as you can.

Big_Boss_77 ,

As someone who spends a lot of their job testing and implementing firmware upgrades… I will do my utmost to slip this into at least one meeting.

US says cyberattacks against water supplies are rising, and utilities need to do more to stop them (apnews.com)

Cyberattacks against water utilities across the country are becoming more frequent and more severe, the Environmental Protection Agency warned Monday as it issued an enforcement alert urging water systems to take immediate actions to protect the nation’s drinking water....

Big_Boss_77 ,

We could do that… or we could raise rates again for the third time this month and record another year of record profits. After much consideration, we’ll do the latter, but you better be ready to bail us out if we get hacked.

Big_Boss_77 ,

And when the rural communities can’t afford to do the EPA mandated updates, they sell out to a publicly traded, for profit corporation…who raises basic utility fees multiple times over the short span they’ve owned and operated the infrastructure of the rural communities.

I’m not saying you’re wrong in every instance, as what you’ve said holds true a lot of the time. Just not in this very specific, albeit anecdotal, instance.

Big_Boss_77 ,

Not discounting safety features… but wouldn’t the delta p in that situation be enough to take you out anyways? Or is the bigger problem once you’re inside the infrastructure?

Big_Boss_77 ,

I think it’s the brain damage from when Grandpa Gohan dropped him on his head as a baby.

Big_Boss_77 ,

Aldi is awesome. As someone who pseudo-homesteads, if I can’t grow it or raise it, I buy it from Aldi. It’s the next best thing.

Big_Boss_77 ,

I haven’t thought of this in ages, thank you.

Big_Boss_77 ,

I can suggest an equation that has the potential to change the future…

E = MC² + S

S stands for sandwich…because I’m having one, for lunch…

Big_Boss_77 ,

Does the broken calculator at least like butt stuff?

Big_Boss_77 ,

My dentist always tells me they really only care if the area has recently become heat sensitive. So that’s kind of what I base my level of concern on.

Big_Boss_77 ,

You hit your leg with the stick…no wonder it hurt. Hit the stick with your leg if you want to break it.

Big_Boss_77 ,

I find I can bear their discomfort with extreme fortitude. I had a parrotfish once… he was an asshole. Constantly “redecorating” the tank and generally being a nuisance to the other inhabitants.

If everyone is watching the eclipse, who is watching the border!?

Tactical septic tanks are all the rage.

You are going to be trapped in a room for 12 hours with a mid 2000s office desktop with no internet connection and an external hard drive; what are you putting on the hard drive?

I’ve got some DOOM WADs I have been meaning to play so I would probably grab Trench Foot, Total Chaos, and the sequel to Ashes 2063, Ashes: Afterglow with a portable install of GZDoom to play them....

Big_Boss_77 ,

Probably be time to sit down and run through Xenogears again…

I made a soup (lemmy.ca)

It’s about to warm up out of soup season so I made a new one for me. It’s butternut squash, cauliflower, lentil soup. It was funny because after I blended it with an immersion blender I tasted it and it tasted like it definitely was missing something, added the coconut milk and some lime juice and WOW that was it....

Big_Boss_77 ,

Sounds pretty good, how do you think it would handle some chillies or sambal? Something to spice it up a bit, as I’m a very big fan of spicy butternut squash.

Big_Boss_77 ,

Making me hungry now, might have to give this a shot for dinner.

Big_Boss_77 ,

If the average bad hailstorm drops 7500 pieces of hail… that would come out to about 375 nat20s… if my napkin math is accurate.

Big_Boss_77 ,

I love monkey bread.

Would also love to see a recipe lol

Big_Boss_77 ,

I experiment with cooking all the time… but to experiment with baking? You are a bold one…

Right on, Weissman is out there on his videos, but his food is usually phenomenal. Much appreciate the info!

A new CEO was hired to take over a struggling company. The CEO who was stepping down met with him privately and presented him with three numbered envelopes. “Open these if you run into serious trouble,” he said.

Well, three months later sales and profits were still way down and the new CEO was catching a lot of heat. He began to panic but then he remembered the envelopes. He went to his drawer and took out the first envelope. The message read, “Blame your predecessor.” The new CEO called a press conference and explained that the previous CEO had left him with a real mess and it was taking a bit longer to clean it up than expected, but everything was on the right track. Satisfied with his comments, the press – and Wall Street – responded positively.

Another quarter went by and the company continued to struggle. Having learned from his previous experience, the CEO quickly opened the second envelope. The message read, “Reorganize.” So he fired key people, consolidated divisions and cut costs everywhere he could. This he did and Wall Street, and the press, applauded his efforts.

Three months passed and the company was still short on sales and profits. The CEO would have to figure out how to get through another tough earnings call. The CEO went to his office, closed the door and opened the third envelope. The message said, “Prepare three envelopes.”

Big_Boss_77 ,

In the same regards as “With sufficient thrust, pigs can fly”?

Big_Boss_77 ,

Definitely blame the government for not holding them accountable…

Big_Boss_77 ,

Isn’t Ubisoft’s “AAAA” game like 40% off right now, around a month after launch? Not sure I’d want that on my shoes…

Big_Boss_77 ,

I find I can bear their discomfort with extreme fortitude.
