A coop PvE game for two dads and three sons?
A shooter, preferably. Any recommendations, #mastodon guys? The youngest lad is 10, so as little violence as possible. Thanks 😉
I did this previously by using MultiMC (now PrismLauncher). Make a mix of mods, send them the zip of the whole game instance and ask them to drag and drop it onto MultiMC. The biggest issue I encountered was one family member having a black ingame world until they changed a setting in the graphics mod, otherwise it didn’t seem to be too hard.
By comparison Minetest is much easier for playing mods with family. Everyone downloads the server’s mods when they join. But the interest is lower.

@Pacmanlives
So it was a fake root prompt which tricked the bots into believing that they logged in successfully but in reality the prompt could do nothing on the system?
ICYMI, the "Book of Love" zoom panel was really interesting; the planned hour because two.
I understand that participants will get a link to the recorded video in the next few days, and I'll ask whether it's okay to share here, for your viewing pleasure.
And we have a link! Sunday's panel discussing The Book of Love, with authors Sandra Kitt, Beverly Jenkins and Kelly Link, moderated by genre romance historian Steve Ammidown, can be watched on the Romance Bookstore YT channel here:
🔸 config.conf is the neofetch config file I use (only the first block of code is relevant)
I had to use a custom "OS" line in the config files because it would display debian instead of antiX, so if you use the file put back the default line :
[...]OS" distro
instead of :
[...]OS" "antiX 23 Arditi del Popolo"
🔸 config.conf.alts was my work-in-progress config file when I was obsessively trying different variations on the same look to find just the right one, if you run it they will display the variations one after the other (might take a while 😅 )
🔸 .bashrc for the alias to make neofetch use a custom distro logo Basically just add :
alias neofetch='neofetch --ascii ~/path-to-custom-ascii-logo.txt
at the end of the .bashrc
(Yes I also added a line to autolaunch neofetch each time I open a terminal 😁 )
@atzanteol All's good. Yea, reason for the post was that even though I took the partitions offline it wouldn't still let me resize. So I think the best next move would be just booting into a USB and see if it lets me.
The whole disk well, only the boot is separated. The rest of the partition has the whole space controlled by LVM. Interestingly even though that may be the setup something was just rejecting my resize request.
Sadly have more to say but Mastodon limit is hitting haha. nutshell
When I was younger, I might decide to take an earlier bus stop and walk some extra instead of having to talk with someone I know and was riding the same bus. It's not that they were bad people, I just didn't know how to talk with them. I kicked myself for this: why can't I be a normal person?
Now that I've understood I'm autistic, I can cut myself some slack. It's perfectly ok to walk extra to avoid talking with someone. It makes it easier for my mental health.
