I really thought I don't stim. I don't rock or flap my hands or jump or chew things or make stimmy sounds.
Of course, I do softly grind my teeth (sometimes I may wear night guard during daytime too), wiggle my toes or legs, enjoy knitting simple patterns (= the same repetitive motion), fidget like there's no tomorrow with any small object I can get my hands on and may start picking my nails if I can't find anything else, doodle, I might undo my hair and braid it while watching TV, or braid tassels of my throw blanket...
Stimming is healthy and good for you. Do it.
If -as is the case with many late-identified autists- you have suppressed your stims or been pressured to stop and feel like you have forgotten how to stim, then try to start again. Learn about different stims and just try different ones until you find something that does the trick for you.

"You might remember Google had a $5,000 Jamboard whiteboarding meeting room display — well, that’s also discontinued. The Jamboard hardware will no longer receive software updates on September 30th, 2024, and its license subscriptions will expire the same day.
"Then users will have until December 31st, 2024, to back up Jam their files, and on that date, Google will cut off access and begin permanently deleting files."
Pity the schools, universities, and businesses that paid Google $5000 for a "smart" whiteboard, only to now be told their files will be deleted.
It's not great, but my favorite part is how it's all these cartoons like Mickey and Donald Duck and then Jack Sparrow's there like "Wait, I'm in this too!?"

Anyone play State of Decay 2? Been playing for a while and the game has been broke for quite a while. So they fix some old broke, add new features, break some more stuff, than we back to square 1 again with new and old problems. Curious if the game should just RIP?

I recently learned that I have that typically autistic memory.
I can remember stuff very well. I usually don't reread novels because I know the good one almost by heart and remember the bad ones to vividly. I know so many random things, that family "uses" me as a Google or Wikipedia alternative. But I struggle to remember my childhood. I used to think it was a childhood specific thing, then I thought I voluntary forgot the "bad times" in my twenties. Then I listened (...)
(...) if I see one. But I assure you it doesn't feel scary to me.
This has always been my view of the world. It means for example that I see my husband every day as if I saw him for the very first time in ages (minus the longing). I never get bored of him. It means I can just talk to strangers and be as friendly as if I was an old friend - because I usually don't remember old friends and play it safe.
But it also means I sometimes hold a grudge because (...)
(...) the things I do remember I remember vividly and without a timeframe. So even things long ago feel fresh to me.
Luckily I usually don't hold a grudge and am very positive and accepting towards people.
