To be honest, I’d probably call it “awesome” and be a bit envious. That must pretty much be a state where whatever mood you’re in, there’s always going to be something you want to play, like someone with an amazing collection of vinyl records, or bookcases full of literature & poetry.
Those are some pretty big numbers on hours played too, so it’s not like you’ve just played each thing for an hour and then chucked it.
I only feel mine’s out of control because of the relatively small amount of time I have to play these days, and the amount of unplayed games - I can play a new game every week for about three years, but actually I just stick another ten hours into “Crusader Truck Manager Fortress Rally Tactics III”, on average.
Ha ha ha, you fool! All this massive library does is give me something to doom scroll before going back to short burst YouTube videos! (Depression is a hell of a drug.) I mostly end up playing a lot of the same games over and over (see my hours on New Vegas) and don’t end up playing the games I bought that look really fun.
Aww mate, sorry to hear that. I’ve been in those pits before. I hope life, the world, or yourself gives you the break you need, or the support you need to get through it.
I’ve been waiting for defenders quest 2 for the better part of 7 years now! Very excited it’s getting closer.
Monaco 2 is looking much more large scale of a game than the first one, but the first one was such stupid fun multiple, I feel like it’ll be gta2 to gta2 upgrade in gameplay and graphics.
Streets of rogue 2 is coming, that was a fun one.
I’m also excited for book of aliens, book of demons was in no way original but a great parody game with original styling and good humor. I’m curious to see how the developers do an rts/StarCraft style genre, their diablo was on point.
Split signal is hopefully anothe very simple to play puzzle games from one of my favorite 2 minute play time window games lyne.
But far and away the one I’m most looking forward to is defenders quest 2.
There are certain world-changing events that it’s hard to remember them ever not-existing. Like…the iPhone was released in 2007. It’s so weird to think of the time before smartphones. Like when Nextels were a thing and basically everyone had a walkey-talkey on them…
When a games been sitting in my wishlist for a while it’s usually there for a reason. Sometimes it’s just that I have a glut of other games to play in that genre, sometimes I’m waiting for the game to improve. But usually it’s because I’ve looked at the game and said “I don’t think it’s worth that price” and am waiting for it to fall to something I consider reasonable. Obviously, a price hike isn’t going to help it reach that point.
I looked at Riftbreaker’s steam DB page and it looks like it was only some countries who got a price spike, so I’m guessing it was some sort of currency re-balancing. You know, the Ruble is weak so prices relative to the Dollar went up or whatever. All that being said my first point stands, if I didn’t want to buy a game at price X , I’m going to want to buy it even less at X * 1.5, regardless of what’s happening in international money markets.
If the game is in Early access, the price is justified to change as it becomes more fleshed out.
If the game gets a massive update (Such as Quake II recently) a price raise feels justified.
Also, none of this applies if the game goes over 60$, you should never pay more than 60$ because of a price raise. But, these are all just my opinions.
Look at steam DB. Many games move the prices around up down constantly. Even higher than their previous plateau. It’s all about creating urgency for sales.
Hmm, I was like “Sure, it’s $4, why not?” But I can’t actually buy it. Steam says “There seems to have been an error initializing or updating your transaction. Please wait a minute and try again or contact support for assistance.”
