Besides breakfast and books, is there any other use for a nook?
I did not intend for that to rhyme.
Clipboard manufacturers would probably be in a much tighter financial situation if coaches hadn't made a stereotype of breaking them all the time.
If your door was a pillow it would probly be better to slap it than knock on it
If Jesus is the son of God and Satan is the oposite of God, a literal antichrist would be Satan's father, which would be God since God gave life to Satan
Edit: grammar
Professors who grade the same exam dozens or hundreds of times probably experience semantic satiation (explained in the body of the post).
Semantic satiation happens when repeating word or a phrase over and over makes it temporarily lose its meaning. This was first written about in the psychological literature by Titchener, in case you search it online and find that name....
If God loved the GOP as much as Republicans think he does, he wouldn’t have made Jimmy Carter the longest living president in US history
Magnetism only feels like magic, because we don't have biological sensors for it
Think about it. Isn’t light+eyes and ears+sound just the same in terms of their “influence at a distance”? We don’t feel that as abnormal or magic - simply because we’ve sensors for them and are used to it. But physically speaking light and magnetism are based on electromagnetic forces.
We should rename Solar to Patriot Power to make it palatable to the right
The Left is doing it wrong....
Eyes are freaky af

Since been staring into peoples eyes or animals eyes and its consistently weird and freaky no matter what. People who are lucky (never get sick etc.) shouldn't be the ones to buy lottery tickets

If number of undiagnosed neurodivergent people proves to be significant portion, neurotypical means just people who won the standards war of communication protocol
We never know the number of undiagnosed, many may be just capable of pretending but suffering.
We have vehicles for all types of nature's elements except for fire
We have cars for earth, boats for water and planes for air. Nothing for fire. Not that I want to ride on fire.
The youngest generations are probably like the people of Easter Island when they were cutting down the last tree.
They know that it should be the opposite to save their island but the king and his court won’t listen to them. The king’s whole lineage cut down as much as they wanted, so he’s having a tantrum that it’s not working out the same for him. He’s doing it anyway. Entitlement can do that to a fellow.
Respect isn't earned. You receive the amount of respect you give.
Every time you interact with someone you should give them a base level of respect. How they respond determines the amount of respect you continue to proceed with.
WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE
Part of why internet search sucks is that many gave up trying in the face of Google.
Pseudo-monopolies are great at extinguishing imagination like that, and tbh Google search (as I understand its basic setup) was only as good as it was thanks to timing and few really good competitors.
Netflix documentaries are the high-brow evolution of the Discovery Channel
Discovery used to be science, nature, and well-researched documentaries. Then it turned into the TV version of click-bait....
Where the hell does wind begin??
I could swear I knew the answer in grade 5 and no longer remember but like at what point is it one step to the right and no wind and suddenly wind a step further. Like rain starts from the clouds (and I assume thunder too) but what about wind.
Motherboards must have integrated 8bit game to play if windows gets corrupted
Regular loaves of bread have pre-slicing technology figured out, so what is it with bagels and English muffins?
Baldur Gate 3 is must be what players experience in their heads when they do DnD.
They should build ev charging stations with a drive in theater so you can watch a movie as you're charging up to continue your road trip
Having separate dongles for network, audio, video etc. is even worse than just having specific cables for each
Maybe belongs in /c/extremelypopularthoughts
The prevalence of touchscreens has probably resulted in a decrease in average fingernail length
I feel like I used to see a lot of women with super long nails struggling to use their touchscreen phones. I’m sure at least some of them have chosen slightly shorter nails to make it easier.
