Carighan , in German patient vaccinated against Covid 217 times
@Carighan@lemmy.world avatar

According to Alex Jones, this guy should now be dead ~400x, also a Reptiloid, a Muslim, a Space Terminator Alien French hybrid, the God Emperor of Israel and at least 25,2 Joe Bidens. šŸ˜…

Fascinating that itā€™s given as ā€œfor personal reasonsā€, tbh. I bet that reason was to show their neighbor who was an anti-vaxxer or something. Older germans can get petty like that. Source: Am older german.

What, they thought all that bullshit he said for TV was authentic?

31337 , in Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk say human population not nearly big enough: ā€˜If we had a trillion humans, we would have at any given time a thousand Mozartsā€™

Iā€™ve seen these arguments gaining prominence on the last few years. I donā€™t think they care about Mozarts or Einsteins though. If they did, they would use their money and push for policies that would improve the conditions people live in, so all the would-be Mozarts would have a chance to actually becoming one. I think theyā€™re worried global capitalism will collapse if population growth slows too much; which is probably true.

I also wonder if these people are funding all the anti-abortion and anti-contraceptive campaigns around the worldā€¦ After a quick Google search, I see itā€™s definitely been on Muskā€™s mind: businessinsider.com/elon-musk-tucker-carlson-sex-ā€¦

ArbitraryValue , in Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk say human population not nearly big enough: ā€˜If we had a trillion humans, we would have at any given time a thousand Mozartsā€™

It isnā€™t very interesting to speculate about a trillion-human future when weā€™re so close to a post-human future. Plus, Mozart was the product of his genes and his environment; both can be manipulated to create some process with a higher yield of Mozarts than ordinary human reproduction provides.

Hyperreality , in The Economist has killed satire

I can only assume this was written with tongue firmly in cheek.

JoMiran , in Raw Milk Enthusiasts Demand Milk Infected With H5N1
@JoMiran@lemmy.ml avatar

I grew up drinking lightly pasteurized milk (still beige) and for a few years I drank raw milk because as an adult because it was the only way to get the full flavor I grew up with. So, I understand being raw milk enthusiasts because of flavor, but I sure as shit donā€™t think the flavor is worth getting H5N1.

Lemmeenym , in Student protesters face same suspensions as those who bring assault rifles to campus

Bringing an assault rifle to campus is only a suspension?

dRLY ,
@dRLY@lemmygrad.ml avatar

The legal charges that would also be brought by the cops/legal system would be the real punishment likely (depending on the state and whatnot). The school doesnā€™t really need to do anything, and I am guessing it is more a fallback or show of denouncing someone. Though I agree that it is odd that they donā€™t outright expel given the nature of the other examples given. Maybe it has to do with being a public school or something? Or maybe suspension until after the legal results? Idk.

I think they are slightly playing up the ā€œassault riflesā€ bit though, as I imagine that the same suspension would be applied to any long rifle or shotgun (maybe even pistols tbh). I agree with the overall point of drawing attention to how incorrect the punishments are being applied to the pro-Palestine protestors. As shit is very very different from someone or a group of people showing up armed to a school campus. As I imagine the people more likely to jump to doing that would most certainly be the pro-Israel no matter what crowd. Though it might be getting to the point of pro-Palestine/anti-genocide folks having protection. At minimum access off campus. As the right most certainly does, and would likely be following people home.

Omega_Haxors , in College students arenā€™t having enough sex ā€” so theyā€™re turning to anti-Israel protests: NYU professor

Iā€™m starting to think NY is a neo-nazi hotspot with how many of their institutions are just outright fascist.

Continuing to prove that if anything the stereotypes about how cruel and stupid the south is might be understating it.

lorkano , in Chechnya bans all music deemed too fast or too slow

LOL. Just sell slowed down music there then, to be exactly 116 per minute. Then people will create apps that will use API to make music play faster depending on title. Futile efforts that will only affect publicly played music which nobody listens

ExfilBravo , in SWAT Team Raids Innocent Family Over Stolen AirPods Dropped on Their Street

What is funny is the car jackers knew they could be tracked by them and ditched them. This scenario never crossed the cops mind even once, they were like WE GOT EM BOYS!

Reflects the leftā€™s distrust of corporate media all together.

Iā€™m not going to watch them, so they must chase the audience that will. It is a losing game where they eventually cease to exist.

Simple game theory applied to the rights strategy means we all lose in the long run, but they lose the most.
