You mad bro? -all police unions

Asafum ,

Not from Chicago but I also had a "fun’ interaction with a lying cop… I went under a light that was yellow the last I could see it and he was in a parking lot diagonal to the intersection.

I get the ticket and go to court and he tells the judge he was at the light in the intersection and his light was green for 5 seconds before I ran it…

Asshole.

The union officially mourned an officer that died a couple years ago who was put in prison for torturing hundreds of suspects. Good people don’t do that.

The use of that word was to point out how it was being used again, was everyone was stupid so they didn’t see the issue with it.

I get it’s a quote, but you shouldn’t be using it

    What?!

I was told Biden’s 2022 executive order fixed our issues with policing and talking about how this shit is still happening is undemocratic?

If not, are we allowed to say more needs to be done again? It’s confusing when we’re allowed to say not enough is being done…

Yeah our cops suck. Their union is a rare exception to my pro- union stance; they’re so damn corrupt that they’re effectively a second government that works like the mafia. Even more than most cops do, that is.

Ironically the issue is they can’t strike.

So like, when bus drivers “slow strike” they run their routes but don’t collect fares.

When cops “slow strike” they keep showing up to work, keep getting paid, they just don’t do their job. And that causes crim to go up, which increases their budget, and their own overtime.

After George Floyd, they just haven’t really stopped the “slow strike” they only enforce things they want to. Because the more crime, the more overtime.

They have zero accountability even though we have a system set up for federal government to hold police agencies accountable. trump and Biden just refused to use that system except with the most high profile cases that get national media attention.

Police unions are not labor unions, because police are not labor. They are the ruling class’ enforcers, which is an entirely different category.
