Before winning the ground war, the first battle that needs to be won is convincing Putin that democratic countries will not get bored/distracted/tired and stop supporting Ukraine. His only strategy right now is to outlast Ukraine’s international support.

RIght now, Republicans in the US are convincing him he was right, and the US and other democracies are about to abandon Ukraine.
