Yea I’m not too worried. I’m very hireable and will likely wind up getting a fat pay increase out of this. It’s just that I really loved that job and preferred to make less and stay.
Nah. I only invest in the market a bit and it is all buy+hold index funds. Most of my investments are in real stuff. Like paying for my wife’s uni degree, buying a rental property with my brother-in-law, getting a tutor for my kids in math. You will never be poor if everyone you is doing well. Besides I trust my family friends a lot more than I trust Goldman Sachs mortgage backed securities and Bear Stearns.
You can get through the NY Mag paywall by opening in a private tab.
Edit: I don’t understand the downvotes - do other people not do this routinely? Was just using that same trick to read a bunch of paywalled articles on Vulture this afternoon. Can anyone who reads the above and disapproves enlighten me?
