Thank God at least something is being done about this. I don’t think it’s perfect, because I feel like the requirements they’re imposing will barely help most patients deal with basic daily tasks. Even so this is way better than little to no coverage at all.
If you’re lucky it’s 9k. It was about 13k for my mom before she died. We feel it was a mistake to do that and we pulled her out because we could take better care of her at home with some hired help for when we were exhausted.
The CNAs were understaffed, undertrained and underpaid and had to deal with some literally crazy people wacked out from dementia and other brain rot that wrote simply made them violent and angry. The people that have to endure that daily need to be paid more, period. We need to start telling our kids that if they want to serve the country, don’t go into them military - go into healthcare. I’d story giving them an equivalent to the GI Bill.
These places often disguise as places to “support women and pregnancy” and often are just places to guilt and pressure. Literally state sponsored religion.
If not outright kidnap people. People don’t know what they’re going in to, they don’t tell them “come here to not have an abortion”, they pretend they care about them only to do everything they can to stop them accessing healthcare.
Not to mention lie to women until it’s too late to get an abortion. They’ll lie about things including abortion risks, the gestation of the pregnancy (so the woman will think it’s earlier when it’s not), and hide any pregnancy risks that the woman has (if they know about them at all because the staff is not medical professionals).
Exactly. The goal is to make it impossible for them to have an abortion, not to give them the necessary information or convince them to see things their way.
What’s sad is that you KNOW the Deputy wasn’t really terminated for that. That incident was near certainly downwritten to be less severe than it actually was and you can you bet $$$ that this Deputy had a history of it.
These people don’t get fired for one off slapping incidents. They only get fired for severe and repeated infractions and even then only after one of them goes public and can’t be kept quiet.
You say that, but what happens is they but from whoever is willing to sell, them muscle out the rest, the act of selling also diminishes the community to a point where it can no longer sustain itself. Then when they develop the property taxes go up for those who didn’t sell to the point where they may as well sell since they can’t afford to live in their home. Real estate firms are a racket.
That’s just called economics. Every time someone sells, the prices are adjusted up or down depending on supply and demand. As long as there isn’t fraud or theft, It happens every day of the year, all around the world.
So if your community burns down, and your house and all possessions were part of that, you’d be fine having a bunch of rich people bothering you within days of your loss, to take advantage of your misfortune - just lost literally everything, sentimental or financial - to sell for a fraction of the normal actual value to a company hoping to make massive profits on your land, and thus on your misfortune?
Where do you live so I can keep that in mind…? I’m not rich, but if that’s your mindset I’d definitely be willing to bother you.
