If you look up the guy’s (now deleted) twitter, the guy was a pro-NATO nutcase who I guess earnestly believed Trump would disband NATO.
I’m not calling all people who are pro-NATO nutcases, I mean the dude was mentally ill and extremely pro NATO, claimed he had thousands of “NATO-trained Afghan troops” ready to defend Taiwan, claimed he was going to go fight in Ukraine, tried to buy a rocket from Elon Musk to assassinate Putin, etc.
He also claimed the purpose of the threat was to strengthen NATO by getting more countries to increase their military budgets. Trump isn’t anti-imperialist.
So one of the cops shot the other cop in the torso? Talk about a well trained police force. It’s like something out of Naked Gun. And clearly the cops being there clearly made the situation much worse and injured more people. These stooges should never carry a gun again.
I’m sure NYC will be on the hook for a few lawsuits out of this one situation alone that will at least get into the low millions! Great job NYPD for a subway fare!
They don’t care. After all, you know who’s paying those lawsuits? Yep, you guessed right: taxpayers. So every NYC citizen is going to pay for what these fuckwads did.
Not sure why NBC is framing this as a problem with how the bodies were used, when it’s clearly a problem with the Texas officials who are selling bodies with zero effort to notify anyone. Like one literally had a missing person report out for them!
The people in charge of the program are getting fired, and an outside consulting firm is being hired to investigate. So, I imagine there will be a follow up later on with more details on that front.
It doesn’t inspire confidence that there wasn’t the oversight to prevent this however. These are human remains, not widgets.
Most states (perhaps all of them?) require at least a year of US history to get a HS diploma. They do not guarantee the students retain the knowledge after passing the class, of course.
But I knew that because I read about her dumbass answer. But I thought it was 140 before, so I was still more correct than her and I’m not even running for president.
Was it the one about how many amendments are in the bill of rights? I picked 20 since I know we have close to that (but apparently 11+ aren’t considered part of the BoR?).
BoR are the first 10/27 amendments. They were all ratified in 1791. Federalists thought that the structural elements laid out in the main document would protect people’s rights but Antifederalists insisted on codifying specific rights and the BoR was a promise to get more people on board with the idea of the Constitution.
This, I've known people who got knocks on their door by the FBI and SS for posting dumb shit they weren't serious about as a "joke." They take that shit seriously I guess only when its lone wolves that can't do as much damage and not people rich enough to fund a small army.
I’ll add to the absurdity for you: The agent asked me, “does this sound familiar?” and recited my forum signature which was a short poem about a sailing goat
