JimmyBigSausage , in RFK Jr faces call for investigation into claim he chainsawed whale’s head off

Please just go away.

ClassifiedPancake , in Drivers Hate The Tech In Their Cars

I love the adaptive cruise control of my ID3. It will not only keep the distance to other vehicles but speed up and slow down automatically based on speed limits and road features like roundabouts or turns not only by what it can see but also knows based on data from HERE.

It’s not always correct unfortunately and not usable in urban areas (should not even be allowed there in my opinion) but on highways it’s great.

But I hate the touch buttons in this car.

reddig33 , in RFK Jr faces call for investigation into claim he chainsawed whale’s head off

He’s a weirdo, but an investigation sounds like a waste of resources. The whale was already dead. He didn’t kill it.

shalafi ,

transport of the marine mammal skull from Massachusetts to New York, and therefore across state lines, also represented a felony violation of the Lacey Act

Pretty thin sauce.

IamSparticles , in Are Trump’s campaign rallies energizing his base – or sowing doubt?

Why not both? His (racist, xenophobic, homophobic, misogynistic, liberal-hating) base is definitely energized by his rhetoric. But he may also be alienating the less radicalized people he needs to actually win.

Beetschnapps , in RFK Jr faces call for investigation into claim he chainsawed whale’s head off

Can someone explain his voice? I don’t want to be the bad guy, so rather than pilling on the obvious…

Why does he sound like he smoked a dick 5 min before his interviews?

quicklime ,

That information is very widely and readily available with a basic web search. His voice was fine until (I forget) years ago when a weird illness damaged his vocal cords.

Captainvaqina ,

He caught permanent whale laryngitis from the dead whale head juice that sloshed through his open car windows.

You could call almost anything “potentially explosive”. Sounds clickbaity to me.

Imma go lay down.

I hate to break it to you but that makes it 2 in 10

ByteOnBikes , in RFK Jr. Tells Tucker Carlson He’s Been Asked by Trump ‘To Help Pick the People Who Will Be Running the Government’

Arent you excited by the idea of a Chief of Staff Brainworm?

We can all have brain worms!

kittenzrulz123 ,

Impossible, brainworms need food and theres nothing up there in RFKs head

I was pretty sickened by reading this, till I reached the part where the writer brought up the Telegram founder arrest, then it read like a manufacturing consent type piece.

It’s exactly this kind of stuff, which makes normal people feel sick and question the sanity of others, that was used to push things like the Patriot Act, the internet used to be filled with videos of ISIS etc. beheading people. Now I am wondering if the clients weren’t three letter agency operatives, but many real people are sickos too.

I don’t trust any writer who says, directly or indirectly, that we can trust the government unequivocally. People need encryption tools. The U.S. would not have been allowed to form if the imperial British empire had mass surveillance like we do now.

schnurrito ,

the internet used to be filled with videos of ISIS etc. beheading people

I have literally never come across such a video. I am sure there are such videos somewhere online, and have been in the past too, but equally I am sure that no ordinary web user is likely to accidentally come across them.

Paraponera_clavata ,

I think “used to be” is key here. After 911 there were tons of violent anti Muslim videos.

Zorsith ,
@Zorsith@lemmy.blahaj.zone avatar

Yeah, the immediate spam of anti-telegram news really rubs me the wrong way. Like, it’s a tool. It’s not corporate generated content, it’s user created content. The users are just gonna go somewhere else for their fucked up shit.

nondescripthandle , in ‘These ideas are incredibly popular’: what is degrowth and can it save the planet?

Capitalism so obsessed with growth they have to call shrinking ‘degrowth’ to not scare the investors into crashing the entire economy. What a stable system we’ve inherited.

HootinNHollerin , in 1 in 10 Minors Say Their Friends Use AI to Generate Nudes of Other Kids, Survey Finds

I feel like asking kids that question just gives them the idea that most wouldn’t have had

cybermass ,

Definitely not. I know my 14 year old 4chan dwelling ass would have known about this before 99.99% of the population.

Don’t overestimate teenage innocence, this problem is very much in the public sphere I doubt many teens don’t know about this technology already.

CBS is left-center? The AP is left-center? ABC is left-center?

Does anyone know what number I can dial to reach MBFC’s “fuck all the way off you bunch of frauds” department?

partial_accumen ,

Neither CBS, AP, or ABC organizations appears to support the removal of a woman’s right to choose her reproductive habits, nor do they make any claims that the 2020 election was stolen, never even seen them make claims that climate change is fake.

However, I also haven’t seen them advocate for single payer healthcare, or expansion of pathways of citizenship for the undocumented, or extreme restriction of gun ownership.

So left-center seems pretty sound to me. So what part of “left-center” offends you in that bot’s analysis?
