ef9357 , (edited ) in Starbucks' new CEO will supercommute 1,000 miles from California to Seattle

Our system is insane. CEOs do the least amount of work and adds NO value. Why do they get more pay than someone who provides actual value? The people with the hardest jobs should have the highest pay.

grepe ,

ceo is literally the only job that can be fully replaced by the “ai” at the moment with no loss of performance whatsoever

samokosik ,
@samokosik@lemmy.world avatar

So why there are still many CEOs? I think shareholders would welcome saving some money and using AI to run their company.

LustyArgonianMana ,
@LustyArgonianMana@lemmy.world avatar

Capitalists in general can be replaced with AI and this is what freaks them out about it. AI makes having a secretary affordable now. An advertiser. Someone to draft rough legal documents. A brainstorming team. Etc.

samokosik ,
@samokosik@lemmy.world avatar

Yes, because leading a company is a trivial job every 3 year old can do.

tal , in RFK Jr. expected to drop out of race by end of week, plans to endorse Trump: Sources
@tal@lemmy.today avatar

www.ipsos.com/…/whos-voting-robert-kennedy-jr

Who’s voting for Robert Kennedy Jr.?

Who’s voting RFK? The demographic profile of RFK voters is fairly similar to the average American. There are no significant differences by race, age, or income, though RFK Jr. voters are slightly more likely to be women.

On the issues, RFK Jr. is a little all over the place. He previously ran as a Democratic candidate, but at the same time has embraced right-wing conspiracies about the COVID-19 vaccine. His supporters, too, are a bit scattered on the issues. For example, like Republicans, they are more likely to view immigration as a top issue, but like Democrats, are more likely to view climate change and abortion as top issues.

Hmm.

According to this:

statista.com/…/robert-f-kennedy-jr-favorability-a…

He polls best with people 30-44.

Well, the top 25 wealth hoarding dragons paid 13.6 billion in federal income taxes in a span of 5 years. propublica.org/…/the-secret-irs-files-trove-of-ne…
So you were likely only very mildly exaggerating that claim.
And before some class traitorboot-licker squeaks up about * the article looks at wealth which isn’t taxed, only income is taxed.* 1 that wasn’t the point & 2 you don’t need income when you have that kind of assets. But they built their wealth by massively benefiting from the society they pay so very little back to.
