I wish some good old boys would force musk and his lackeys to drink and swim in that water, it’s the right thing to do and rase them much higher in my eyes
There’s really no point in wiretapping him. He burbles every fragment of a thought either through social media or in some stream of [semi-]consciousness interview.
Word on the street is she and Obama confronted Joe and told him point blank he would be stepping aside from the nomination or Kamala would 25th Amendment him with their support. That was the stick. The carrot was they’ll give him a giant fellatio tribute at the DNC and find some way to get funding for a library for his “legacy”.
This does make one wonder though, why is he even still the acting president?
I’ll absolutely put my tinfoil hat on for this, but I swear I would not be surprised to find they did this to themselves to play victim and create an “evil Democrats” drama for right wing media to run with for their audience since they’re fumbling so hard with Biden dropping out.
The two minutes hate needs a new Goldstein since it doesn’t seem to be working currently with Kamala.
Your ref makes me think. Similarly to 1984, half of america is in a post-truth world.
If watergate happened again today, Trump would say “fake news”, liberals would be outraged, and a week later everyone would have forgotten. Welcome to dystopia.
That’s exactly why Fox News was created in the first place: literally by a member of the Nixon Administration, as a countermeasure against the media reporting the truth during future Watergate-type Republican scandals.
Yup! As another user pointed out, it’s exactly why fox news even exists. Their prime time opinion shows are almost literally the two minutes hate they just don’t have a single Goldstein, they have a Goldstein of the week/month.
Every night they sing lullabies of “hate the liberal. Hate the left. Hate hate hate. Be angry.” They’re like the opposite of the Daily Show, instead of laughter they use anger.
I lived in peace and humanity first Berkeley, Ca for 10 years a bastion of liberalism taken to the extreme. For 10 years I voted repeatedly in local elections for more affordable housing and zoning changes to make it easier to develop taller buildings and rezone areas for housing development. In the time I was there I think I can count on 1 hand the number of apartment and housing developments I saw being erected. Every damn election people voted against zoning changes and shot them down. We eventually had kids and guess what, there was no place for us to raise a family. So we moved out of state. Californians have nobody but themselves to blame for the homelessness problem the NIMBYism there is to the stratosphere. They shit talk about places like Texas, but guess what? At least there people have a place to live, which is more than I can say for the majority of cities in California.

Texas busses their homeless to Cali. Also, good luck surviving winter in Texas if a power outage is enough to kill people lol
I don't know, I work with horses a lot, and have for many years. This isn't surprising at all. They are intelligent. Like humans, they have a variety of intelligence, a spectrum. I think that any human that has spent time with them, and has the ability to reflect, knows this. That's why they challenge us and also why they can be such great resources.
Agree, horses can be very intelligent. Good cowhorses are prized for the way they think and if they can outsmart cows, along with their athletic ability, so this doesn’t surprise me at all either. I also think horses have a sense of humor and like little pranks.
As the only ones who would ever think they held anything of value would be themselves, one could only reasonably conclude that this was a self-inflicted event intended to draw attention and sympathy— the vampiric feed of Trump.
I actually have more respect for Pelosi after this.
She willingly stepped down in 2022. Her first reaction was to refuse to comment, and not exert pressure. She seemed to genuinely want either Joe Biden to come to the conclusion that he can’t run on his own and/or Hakeem Jefferies to lead the charge to have him step down.
It was only after Jefferies proved himself pretty much useless that she inserted herself back into the primary role. She proceeded to prove that, despite everything ,she’s incredibly capable in a way that no other democrat can match.
Regardless of how the election turns out, I think we can all agree that Biden was a massive liability for Democrats. While I have personal issues in regards to the Harris/Walz ticket, most Americans seem infinitely more amicable to it than Biden/Harris. None of that would have been possible without Pelosi.
I’m no astroseismologist but I feel like I’ve heard of sensors like this being on satellites like to investigate glaciers etc. though maybe 10km of rock isn’t so easily penetrated.
Right, and that’s part of the problem with drilling. Rock does weird things at those temperatures.
Mars has less geological activity than Earth–which is like saying Xenon is less reactive than Sodium–but I imagine it does still get hot down there. Earth gets a lot of its internal heat from the decay of heavy radioactive elements, and I imagine Mars has some of the same.
Wait, it’s liquid water. There’s a lot of pressure, though, which would raise the boiling point, but it can’t be that hot, right?
