Maybe their internal polling is saying it’s a bad idea, but I really think this is the perfect opportunity for an all-woman ticket. Select Warren or Ocasio-Cortez as VP.
While I could get behind the feat, I think it’s important to remember how sexist this country has the capacity to be. Sadly, it may be prudent balancing her ticket with a man. To be fair, polls may still be premature.
Second, gender could turn out to be one of the driving forces this year. While Harris is doing no better among women than Biden did in 2020, she is running 11 points behind him among men. She cannot win with only 37% of the male vote—unless she can engineer offsetting gains among women.
Warren is only 3 years younger than Trump. AOC is a poster child for GQP fundraising boogymen. It would be cool, but I don’t see it happening. I’d enjoy being wrong about that, because either one would destroy Vance in a debate.
Shapiro is a safe choice. The Lieutenant Gov is also a Democrat, unlike North Carolina (cited as one reason Cooper didn’t want the job) and Davis would be the first black governor of Pennsylvania. Shapiro is more of a centrist, but his politics are really shaped by the demographics of Pennsylvania. He would likely pivot on some issues like fracking or unions, but his support of Israel is not likely to change and it is going to be divisive.
I suppose, but I also feel (and I say this as a Jew) like having the name Shapiro is going to turn some people off. I don’t want that to be true, but it is.
Absurd. If the United States can tolerate civilian murder on a mass scale, then why would she balk at a couple executive terrorists getting whacked?
Please stop trying to convince me that these are more Israeli war crimes when this is one of the few things she’s done that are legitimate security actions. And on the chain of escalation, a couple assassinations is a measured response compared to a ground invasion of Lebanon.
As far as loyalty, Israel has burned her patrons in the past and more than once, But the United States isn’t exactly loyal herself. And it would be foolish for either country to consider the domestic politics of the other when making security decisions.
I’m guilty of saying mean things to my kid too. Sometimes kids are just fucking annoying. If you recall, each and everyone of us were probably fucking annoying at some point in our life. I think though that I wouldn’t do that for a douchebag like trump. Like, as a parent, we learn to avoid the toy isle at Walmart. Anything that triggers the blind craze for something from the kids so you’re not out in that situation. Here though, with vans, he’s basically insulting his kid while trump dildoes him for the vise president spot. He’s boot licking it up all the way up trumps butthole until he’s officially the VP.
Might be an unpopular opinion While JD has said plenty of horrible things, this reads more like someone relating how they felt in the moment than reciting what was actually said. I’m sure most parents have felt this way at some point. We don’t need to make this mole hill into a mountain. There’s already a whole mountain range of his shit that’s actually egregious.

Misleading title. It makes it seem that Mrbeast is exclusively blaming Crowdstrike which isn’t the case. They said Crowdstrike complicated the incident. Here is the quote
“It was unfortunately complicated by the CrowdStrike incident, extreme weather and other unexpected logistical and communications issues.”
Go read the original good reporting done by NYT: gift article. There are tons of details that The Verge left out.
It’s okay, I am just using your post to express my anger with The Verge I read the nyt article first and then saw this headline. I was like wtf??? Crowdstrike was the most inconsequential detail in that article, and you chose that as the headline? And you worded to make it seem worse? I think they just hate Youtubers in general. I stopped reading them after they went after Pewdiepie and made him a nazi. Went back last year but they are still spreading misinformation it seems.
Wait, the verge said the guy multimillionaire that paid two Indian guys $5 to hold an English sign they didn’t understand that said “death to all Jews” is a nazi? The guy that also paid someone else to dress up as Jesus christ and hold up a sign that said “Hitler did absolutely nothing wrong?”
Didn't read it but headline makes it seem like Governor did a thing like a good guy that he is when in reality he was permitting illegal activity and was called out for it by Navajo nation.
I don't know all the facts tho but this is my current understanding
