I might not have asked for it, but I needed to read it. The insecurity that developed is devastating. I haven’t attempted to date (dating apps just seem to be hookers any onlythots round here). I remember debating with my buddy (he’s pro-Russia) about the Ruso-Ukrainian war when it broke out, and my saying how Russia invading Ukraine because of Nazi gangs is a pretty flim flam excuse for a land grab. “It would be like the US invading Mexico and seizing territory because of the drug cartels”, I said. Why is my country this way.
I guess. He’s an Anarchocapitalist on every other day of the week. I just enjoy arguing amicably with people, and he does too, so our friendship works.
Tell me about it. Anyway, he’s not under any illusions about how fucking backwards both the US and Russia’s governments are, but he really believes that Russia’s in the right on the matter of the war because there really are capital N Nazis that really are up to Nazi shit in Ukraine. As fucked as that genuinely is, imo I think that’s just the flimsy pretense being used to justify a land grab, which is why I used the analogy of the US invading Mexico under the flimsy pretense of stopping the cartels. Well, here we fucking go, I guess.

It’s likely they are trying to deflect on a technicality; something like “Medical experts say …[etc etc]… at 108F.”
They tend to do that a lot. Unfortunately that’s probably the heat lethal point; and it can vary a lot based on weight and size; which a doctor or educated practitioner would know; but not an average prison guard, captain or warden who is only intelligent enough to go by what their little book says.
Obviously they are not taught nor instructed to have any compassion whatsoever; and prisoners’ complaints are routinely ignored, intentionally misrouted, mishandled and withheld without good reason.
It’s oftentimes 10x worse in states like Texas…where the usual attitude is to dehumanize prisoners. I genuinely hope they are forced to reform things and stop slacking.
Are there not regulations about food and beverage businesses in the States? Would have thought the litigious USA would have been all “hurr durr these children may not have washed their hands adequately when squeezing those lemons, so someone could get sick, and they don’t have a safe food handling certificate!”
There probably are local regulations that make this technically illegal but these aren’t generally enforced on such high profile operations like a neighborhood lemonade stand run by a 10 year old.
Are the trans kids allowed to sue for same? If they don’t feel safe with the tiny cis-bigots, can they sue for a bathroom(s) of their own?
Bigotry is not genetic, it is learned. I question the morality of their parents, their community leaders, to a lesser extent their teachers, and to a larger extent their school admin and school board.
