I have at least successfully started it and played two matches unranked. I run it through Lutris (Start Ubisoft connect from Lutris) and the start xdefiant through Ubisoft connect.
I followed some Indian guys tutorial on YouTube. It crashed two times and trying to start it a third time, Lutris gave an error sth was missing (don’t remember what exactly) and offered to install it. After that it worked but probably more coincidence than knowing what I did. The tutorial added two game execution properties and installed some windows dll through winetricks.
It quite simply depends on which GPUs you’re looking at. Since you already have a 3070 (which works fine on modern games), I can only imagine you’re looking at the highest end GPUs available right now?
After I installed my new graphics card, I started having audio issues in games, crackling, stuttering, etc. Had been using X without issue prior to the upgrade. Switching to Wayland fixed it. Never figured out why. Was (still am) on Nobara 38 I believe.
Yeah but I found it doesn’t work properly on lutris sometimes compared to just running it through steam with Proton experimental. Don’t know why that is though.
Game is still having problems even when launched from Steam.
I cannot get Battle.net to launch with any regular Proton version or Experimental. I also can only get it running with GE after version 8-26. (only 3 versions, 8-26, 9-1, and 9-5)
But every version up to 9-5 has the gray screen for a couple seconds, then the game closes with no error message.
Only advice: Don’t install on the same hard drive.
I dont care how many people say “oh it works for me” it works for everyone until it doesnt, and then you spend days fucking about with utilities that you shouldnt be fucking with, and at best it works until it stops working again.
There’s likely little risk that any attack goes after a potential linux partition, but there’s much more risk that either your linux or Windows partition bricks the other.
I haven't tried Baldur's gate but to get the lord of the rings bfme2 to run I set the runner to wine-ge-8-26-x86_64 and it started working in Lutris.
I also tested bottles before I moved to Lutris and there should be runner settings for graphics to be translated to Vulkan from directx.
I am using Linux Mint though which is debian based so idk if you have to do things different for wine in fedora.
Oh yes, there are! They are all nicely organized, with short description using the Gnome UI language. I prefer Bottles so much to the other launchers but I could get some games to run in the past only using Lutris with its install script database…
