A video for any doubters that Linux gaming is better than Windows in which it DESTROYS Windows by 25% in AC Odyssey. To put it in perspective, 25% improvement is like getting a new GPU. You can save $600 and instead use something like OpenSUSE Tumbleweed for free....

@26:07 he says as a business he’s considering Linux on his computers because of Windows privacy violations. It’s great to hear someone with such a wide audience talking about using Linux.

But I’ve spent most of the time tweaking and setting up and downloading stuff rather than actually playing. Games seem to work really well. Not doing benchmarking but I really like how stable the framerate is when frame cap is in place. So far everything I’ve tried was absolutely buttery smooth.

For the people that say that Starfield doesn’t run well on Linux.

A request that was asked since these games apparently run better on Windows. Vermintide 2 is about 20% faster on Linux and Doom Eternal about 20% faster on Windows.

Hello! You may be interested in Hyprfreeze if you game in Hyprland. It’s a small script that lets you suspend games just like gaming consoles do....

The last part of this benchmark series. Windows was thermal throttling like a madman and still managed to be faster when all was said and done. A testament to how bad the Nvidia drivers are on Linux.
