[SOLVED] Using clangd with vscode to develop a flatpak

I’m developing a program in C++ targeting flatpak, since I’m on an immutable system I’d rather develop for flatpak than try using a container (plus I can’t get SDL to open a window in a container anyway). Everything works with GNOME Builder but it’s not as nice to use as vscode: less syntax highlighting, doesn’t...

I bit confused on github fork

So, this is my situation: I’ve forked this repository which contains dotfile and script for hyprland. I changed some files and now, if I want to sync all the commits made on the original repository to my repository github says “This branch has conflicts that must be resolved”. My question is: can I merge only the commits...

Volaris website not working for others on linux?

For a while now, I’ve been unable to actually view the Volaris website while using Ubuntu 22.04 (In a previous version I believe as well). I’ve tried Brave, Firefox, and Chrome with the same results so I don’t believe its browser specific (as most people use one of those 3 web browsers), which leads me to believe its Linux...

Enabling Tap-to-click in SDDM Wayland (Fedora 40 Sway)? (SOLVED)

Essentially as the title says, I’m running SDDM with the Wayland backend on Fedora 40 Sway edition and I want to enable tap-to-click for my touchpad. Any ideas on how I can do that? I tried doing it in the xorf config but then I realised the x server isn’t even installed so SDDM is actually running on Wayland, and I don’t...

Using passkeys on Linux & Android

Passkeys seem like a great idea, and we are at a point where, although things are still very much in flux, software passkeys managed by password managers are starting to be usable. I thought I’d share the workflow that’s working for me on Linux with some sites, and ask the community for more tips & tricks....

Tablet Calibration on Bazzite OS

Hey, I’m trying to calibrate my Wacom Cintiq Pro 32 on Bazzite OS, but I am running into issues. My problem is that my cursor is ~10px off from my pen tip, which makes drawing quite weird. Common sense would take you to KDE Plasma’s settings app, but the “Drawing Tablet” Input Device setting does not feature a tablet...

Why did distro name carry over into label name of my ssd?

I am a distro-hopper, have yet to find my thing. I’ve recently been trying out NixOS, but decided to give something else a try, so after a lot of digging i landed on this KDE spin, which is based of the Bluefin Project. However, after having installed it via your typical installation of ISO Writer -> USB -> Install. I saw,...

NVIDIA dynamic boost wattage

Hi, I have an Asus vivobook pro 16x oled (M7600QC) optimus laptop with a dedicated Nvidia RTX 3050 Max-Q rated 50w. When I try to use the dedicated Nvidia GPU on Linux, the wattage is only 35w. If I enable the “nvidia-powerd” daemon, it goes up to ~40w. Is there a way to raise the wattage to the rated 50w like on Windows?...
