Well with Facebook for me it was more like a slow decline until I only used it for things I “have” to use it for. Whereas Reddit was a brutal, one day to the next cold turkey kind of thing.
I dumped FB after George Floyd. The stupidity of some people was just too much. I had Reddit but there is something to anonymity. I think I pay more attention to the content of the comments. I dunno. Maybe it’s me.
Silicone isn’t what makes parchment paper heat-resistant (and isn’t even used on most standard parchment papers). Cellulose pulp is treated with sulfuric acid to cross-link the cellulose molecules, making them more chemically and thermally resistant, and the result is parchment paper.
I would prefer you to be correct, because I am reading other comments that say some parchment paper is teflon coated. PFA pollution arising from PTFE production for pots and pans is bad enough, but to use Teflon on a consumable item should be an obvious “ban the fuck out of it already” action item. I mean, all PTFE production should be banned based on what we’re learning about PFAs, but for fucks sake, disposable items? EDIT: google says the vast majority of parchement paper is silicone coated, not teflon coated like one German asserts in another comment in here.
Because the only comment that mentioned Teflon wasn’t a part of this comment chain, so your response feels like a total non-sequitur in the context of this particular comment chain. I assume you were responding not just to the original comment in this chain, but also to the other unrelated comment about German baking paper being Teflon-coated (which was incorrect), but without anything directly connecting the two comments it just seems like you went off of an unrelated tangent.

Youngest is 17, oldest is 31. But it was the younger ones when they were around 10 - I think they were just mathematically calculating the middle third. I’m almost in their “old” category now and think that because (fit) people are aging more slowly than past generations middle age is stretching out, if you are defining it as able bodied and working. That stretches it to like 75 for some people. I don’t think over 30 is “young” though, so if there are only 3 categories it’s middle aged, and no way is 75 not old, if you are fit, healthy, and working at that age you are a fit old person.

The whole point of calling somebody “middle-aged” is that they’re in that indeterminate space where they definitely aren’t young anymore, but they aren’t like, old, old, yet, basically they’re still able-bodied enough to hold down a job.

30 isn’t so old, but it depends hard on the person in question, some are still in great shape, but many 30-year-olds have been nursing a back problem and/or jacked knees for years by the time the birthday comes, they sure as hell don’t feel young. Some 30s haven’t had kids yet, some of them have kids in middle school. So that averages out, and we onboard you to this shitty party at 30. If you can still rock the swimwear at 30, do it, and don’t take it for granted.
For the record, we don’t care what children think old is. Children are insane.
HP printers are now pure scamming dog shit. The HP printer division must have been taken over by criminals.
The first laser printer I worked with was a HP 4L and it was fantastic. So fantastic, that we implemented it company wide, and they were close to immortal. The last of them got killed off when we got follow-me print.
If you want a decent laser printer today, stay clear of HP and get a Brother instead.
Five years ago people were saying the opposite. My old Brother printer broke after 2 ink refills. I’ve had an HP for 2 years now and I’ve never had an issue with it. I was genuinely surprised people were trashing HP lately.
It’s like the chicks that that film themselves “working out” at the gym with tights that climb up their asses and sports bras with their tits hanging out and then yelling people for taking a look while on camera. All of it is intentional.
Not to mention from the way her face looks, she must also like sucking some breasts. So people actually find that look attractive? It’s like uncanny valley territory for me.

They’re legal here, but only by having the toy removed.
Candies like them were made illegal here in the states decades ago because there was concern (or it actually did happen) that a kid would attempt to eat the candy with the toy still inside and choke.
It’s why the Wonder Balls stopped being sold here as well, and I loved those as a kid in the 90s. They were one of my favorite things to get when I went out shopping with my mom.
