You can buy the Philadelphia cream cheese smoked salmon spread, it’s not the best but it’s ok, you get what you pay for. Otherwise you make your own with your own smoke salmon which I’m sure you can buy from somewhere, I live around a lot of First Nations so fresh salmon is easy to find where I live. You can make it yourself with a smoker or buy premade.
I like putting it on bagels myself but you could throw it on a sandwich by itself or mixed in with some cream cheese.
It doesn’t beat homemade stuff with real smoke salmon, that’s for sure. I live in BC and get the good stuff from the res, plus my dad’s been smoking his own for my whole life. That being said, I like the Philly stuff for nostalgic reasons, reminds me of childhood yknow.
I remember this sparked an argument the last time this pic was posted somewhere else. Like, the bread isn’t toasted, it’s butter but the lighting makes it look bright, no it’s cream cheese the lighting is normal, etc. It was the pettiest thing but things for racist real fast.
I find this really hard to believe. I like going in to work, but I don’t work in a standard office (engineer on industrial site). If I were to be working in an office all day though, no way would I prefer that to home.
Not really. I had an Epson multifunction that wouldn’t scan because I had an aftermarket ink cart in it. I confirmed with their tech support. I removed the non-OEM cart and still it wouldn’t scan until I put a fresh OEM one in. I didn’t even give it to goodwill; I recycled it. No one should have to put up with that bullshit. I won’t touch Epson products from now on. I bought a Brother laser multifunction and it runs like it should.
Same here. For me, 40 is middle aged, since 80 is the normal age to die. Sure, some die earlier and others later, but once you reach 20 (i.e. discounting the premature deaths), the average woman reaches 81 and the average male 78 or so.
I don’t disagree, but people get confused by average lifespan because it includes babies that die. If you live to 60, in the USA you’re expected to live another 21.4 years (almost 82). census.gov/…/long-life-does-not-always-mean-a-hea…
And that number is still an average. But I get it, 50 still isn’t the middle.
People don’t understand what life expectancy means, specifically because 99% of the time, people are talking about life expectancy at birth. What life expectancy st birth means is that half the babies are going to be dead before X years (in the case of OP picture that mean half are going to die before reaching 73 yo), so yeah, the majority of people is going to be 50 yo at some point of their life.
But those same people don’t work in office either, they just walk around and bullshit all day.
I am way more productive at home than I am in office. Partly purposefully out of spite, and partly because my home work space is better in every way than my office environment. Quieter, more comfortable, better equipment, better internet, even better resilience because of my UPSes.
Edit: didn’t mean to post tinder you… But I’m too lazy to fix it so I figured Id take more time out of my life to write this explanation of why my post is threaded to yours. And omg life is so fucked my misspelling of “under” auto corrected to tinder. God save us.
“post tinder” would probably be like the regret you feel after seeing the thousands of likes your 2/10 female friend has and your 2 likes that are bots.
I keep hoping we’ll get off this planet and seed others so people can stop bickering and shooting over land lines on the same rock, but it’s getting harder and harder to find people willing to work for the greater good (not that one) and move forward as a species.
The fact I put a disclaimer in and you all still went right to Cornetto…that’s the stuff that makes the interwebs fun and I’m glad to see it on Lemmy 👍
There’s been tons of anti-American propaganda social media for at least eight years. The CCP and Kremlin realized they could divide Americans from within through social media.
I do agree to a point. But I also think America has organized crime issu s they hide. And that organized crime gets played out from other countries leaders.
It’s not as simple as blaming Russia or America. It’s all so intertwined and knotted it’s almost impossible to fix. I definitely see relation between the way some Republicans strike that… Politicians and business men act that is in line with the way I’ve authentic crime take power. It’s fucked. There’s an underworld right under everyone’s noses but they just don’t want to believe humanity isn’t as secure as their governments make them believe.
So a more pinpointed response… People are getting played by both Americans and Russians (and other countries) they use criminals and down trodden people to do their work. Same as the drug game. Get a sucker hooked on meth and make em your removed via extortion and death threats. Just looking at American politicians I can see them being so naive that they get played by criminals and they don’t even understand because they grew up posh and never knew how raw the world really is… Then they are doomed to be the removed of the mob or have their their family killed by the mob… For them they have to push the rhetoric or get themselves or their family killed.
I’ve seen more street life than I should have… Live is fucked to the core.
I’d like to think I’m just delusional… But life keeps proving me it’s reality.
It’s all “the game” as rappers say… And most of us are naive to it while we work for them or just out right enslaved by them.
