I’m shocked people still read: Forbes, fortune and business insider.
What ever legitimacy they once held in the business world is long gone. All three of them went click bait long before COVID (BI was always a click bait outfit) and I find their content to be on par with UK gossip rags or the National Enquirer.
Suggestion, start filtering out these three sites from your news gathering and stop sharing articles on social media from them. It’ll make the world a better place!
Once Forbes realized they could influence a stock price, it was over for any journalistic integrity they had. I don't know how anyone can take them seriously, when literally all they write can be condensed down to "Ultra-capitalism"
Speaking of linus. Why are they still not on the fediverse? They should have their own instance and everything. Would create a lot of content for them.
Might be on their list but low priority. Might be too early into development to check out. Or maybe they literally don’t know about about anything other than mastodon?
A shame to hear how far HP has fallen. Back in the day they had some solid, workhorse laser printers that delivered for years with no issues and pretty good toner efficiency. Based on what I’ve read here, I’m not likely to buy another.
Love my brother laser printer. I’ve had it for years, print infrequently, haven’t had to change toner once, and it works everytime I ask it to print on the first time
I once signed up for something that required separate home and cell phone numbers. Some shipping service or something. And it wouldn’t let me put the same number for both. Like come on, nobody is paying for landlines nowadays. I ended up putting my parents’ phone number for the home phone (which they coincidentally just got rid of this week.)
I have two landline numbers that came with my internet contract but I don’t have a phone connected to the modem. So whenever your scenario happens to me I just give them one of my real landline numbers. I’ve tried calling myself and you can actually hear it ringing as the caller but no one will ever pick up lol
Buy a brother printer instead. They may be a bit more expensive, but their easy mantainance and the amount of bootleg ink you can find online makes it worth the extra price.
Last time this came up, people were quick to bring up brother, and others (and that was new) to mention that brother started to do the same crap (limiting 3rd party toners). So I really don’t know what to think of them anymore.
I could be in the market for a b&w laser printer/scanner soon so I’ll keep an eye on replies here.
Change the print settings to a higher dpi and/or adjust the density. You might have to fiddle around with some other settings in there to get it how you like it. Generally if the test page prints okay there’s something wokny with the print settings for whatever app/driver. Test pages print with preset settings, so they are standardized.
Could be unrelated, and you might just have issues with the printer head, but I’ve closed a more than a few tickets back in the day for people by adjusting print settings for them (these were brother label printers so YMMV).
Here’s a generic KB for doing this on most models of Brother printers:
I’ve never seen all three at once though. Are you sure they aren’t all the same thing? It could be government psyops to convince you dogs and burgers aren’t the same person
