Hi All, I’m new to the Fediverse but I’m slowly learning about it and it excites me. It has shown me that there is more than the big services to be enjoyed....

The description section on the website may be grammatically incorrect. I can fix it with your suggestions.
I’m curious as to you guys opinions. It could be Mastodon itself or a Mastodon client. What features would you like to see that are not currently available?
In the Fediverse, what is the solution to instances or servers going missing?...
I’m not sure how practical/sustainable of a project this would be, but I feel that it could possibly be a useful project in the future if instances begin to purge old content due to storage constaints. The archiving service could store all the data using Object storage to archive it in read only. That way, at least people can...
Some more spitballing from a noob here, but I wonder if much thought has been given to account portability between Lemmy instances, or even Fediverse apps in general....

If anyone has a BlueSky invite, feel free to DM me. Elon Musk is making Twitter worse and he is limiting how many tweets people can view.
(Scope for agency loss means that its comes at low cost to switch to an alternative and intensity of potential harm means the amount of harm that is inflicted on the individuum if the algorithm is bad (e.g. for lethal automatic weapons it would be very high))...
I'm looking for an app which allows me to open a post and then just swipe to the left to see the next post down. So far I've tried Jerboa, Connect, and Sync and all seem to want to perform actions on whatever comment you happen to swipe on rather than move the entire post/thread.
I noticed when I sort by new, some of the posts are in the future. Is that just an issue with .world (my home instance) or something broader?
Somehow, I feel like the federated network is still centralized, because there is still censorship; it’s just distributed across more servers....
So I’ve got my own instance running, and I’m stumped as how to go about finding new communities if it only shows communities I’m already subscribed too....
This has been repeated several times now, but an important reminder: Meta doesn’t need Threads to mine your data. Lemmy has been designed to be very easy to scrape due to its open APIs. Don’t worry yourself: Meta can, will, and is already scraping all of your data from the past and the future. They may not be able to see...

There are directories of Fediverse projects:...
How do you find the admins for a kbin instance? When I go to a kbin instance website, I cannot find anywhere the admin usernames.
I want to create some filters for my Mastodon account to hide certain content....
