See title. I have to scroll past a lot of German and other non-English posts in my feed. I’ve been blocking them as I see them, but it’s getting tiring. Is there not some way to just tell Lemmy the languages I speak and have it show me only those?...

When they say that “they have an army of lawyers” or that Disney has more lawyers than animators and things like that, do they tho? Is an army of lawyers really effective? Do companies actually have an “army” of lawyers to redact and sign documents?

I was looking at “spy earbuds” but they just don’t seem too practical, even the real expensive ones I found are still disposable batteries only and I just don’t wanna drop that kind of money. I do however wear glasses and looking online I see they average about $30 for a pair of bluetooth enabled ones. My only question...

Hi again, I went thrifting and found a working, original switch dock for 3$ including the charging cable and assuming I could just plug in my other devices via the usb c input, I brought it. Turns out it doesnt work with other usb c devices for reasons and I dont own a switch personally so I’m kinda stuck with this cool paper...

if someone sprays disinfectant and i can smell it from the other side of the room does that mean all the food in that room is contaminated with disinfectant?

There are a number of rating sites out there, sometimes with conflicting information. What do you go to when you want to donate, especially when you want to look for a particular issue/crisis/disaster....

My job is very dirty and labour intensive so i don’t understand why I make 1000 words a day on those days, but 200 words a day on weekends.
