My journey with Lemmy started in 2022 out of interest in the fediverse and paranoia around how much control social media companies have, and how little choice common people are left with over the Internet....

If someone suddenly attacks me with a pocket knife, for example, they’ll most likely immediately go right for my belly, since I am 6’5" tall, and stab or rip it open. Therefore, I’m curious how fatal and painful such a wound is?

Not talking about less than macro scales so don’t get pedantic about some exception. The early days were limited by silicon tech and memory storage, but those don’t exist any more. So why is it that game music and pop cultural music have not seemingly cross pollinated? Micro genres? Other?

I’d also love to hear stories about how it moved you on your first or 100th time listening to it.

I’m interested in an instance that only blocks illegal content and spam.

I’m just wondering what the title asks: do you organize your groceries in the order you will check them out, if doing self-checkout, or arrange them on the belt/counter in a standard checkout line, in the hope that they’ll be bagged in a specific way?...

I recently switched from wireless to wired headphones (Samson SR-850, probably the best for the very reasonable price) and my chair’s wheels instantly started eating its cable.
