Thanks to federation, you’re still subject to potential post and comment suppression within any communities on other instances you might want to interact with.

It’s been my experience that lemmy.sdf.org is a good choice for neutrality. However be aware, most of it’s inhabitants have very niche interests.

The funny thing about “free speech” is that everyone has a different idea of what it is. Even you in your post here have limitations to how much free speech you want. From my point of view, lemmy.world is plenty free. For others they feel constricted.
