Just curious to see what communities you would like to see more engagement in....

Hello everyone!...

I am currently self-hosting a meta search engine instance (searxng), which allows me combine searches from different engines (e.g. Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc), but also to filter out websites that I don’t want to show up....

I don’t like either. I used to use Sol Calendar but the app is out of the app store, and Sunrise Calendar, which got absorbed by Microsoft. I haven’t found a good replacement and I’d love suggestions.

There are a lot of GOP-controller legislatures in the USA pushing through so-called “child protection” laws, but there’s a toll in the form of impacting people’s rights and data privacy. Most of these bills involve requiring adults to upload a copy of their photo ID.

Has anyone hear any news from the guy? He was pretty active in the reddit alternative communities, he even had his own platform. I’m curious to know if he dig lemmy and the federation.

I wait for the WALK sign, I keep it to no more than 5 mph over the speed limit, I use my blinkers, I never jump the line, I keep to the watering schedule, pass the SMOG test every other year, file accurate tax returns…...

So far I’ve used the web frontend, Jerboa, Liftoff, Contact, Voyager, and Thunder, Summit, and Voyager is the only one that will reliably show subscribed communities without periodically switching to local or all. Am I weird for wanting to mostly see what I’ve subscribed to, as opposed to wherever random communities are on...

For me it’s some of the music ed, trumpet and book subs.

Just a mostly blank page. Lemmy still shows the header bar on top. And the links to “modlog” and “legal” and...
