elon the capitalist has taught me to do nothing unless I am paid. So if he wants me to call it something other than twitter he should pay me.

I have been a user of Real Debrid for some time now and looking how easy it is to watch whatever the heck you want with light apps such as Stremio a sudden doubt came to me, how does these Debrid services even get to be that stable and copyright free?...
I use both GNOME and Plasma and various apps from their ecosystems. When using Plasma, GNOME apps look out of place, as they hardcode their Adwaita theme, but they don’t suffer from contrast issues and are perfectly usable. When using KDE apps on GNOME on the other hand, the contrast is terrible, the apps look very ugly and...
I recently finished Rise of the Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy XVI, and I’m hesitant what I should play next (PC or PS5)....

I was going through the modlog today and found that this comment posted to lemmy.ml was simply removed for being “reactionary”....
I’ve used the blahaj instance without trouble for a while now, but suddenly this morning my account is stuck in verification. Is there a way to fix it? Or am I just locked out of that account
I recently switched my mail/domain from Google to name cheap. I’ve been keeping a critical eye on my junk mail as the spam filtering doesn’t seem as good....
I just installed a mesh WiFi network in addition to my ISP-provided router that could barely reach upstairs. I had some locally hosted services set up as per Mediabox. All containers were set up with my machine IP(?) 192.xxx.x.xx and were working great inside my network, which is all I wanted to do while I’m learning. I...
I don’t know why I decided to browse a popular sub today, r/books (logged out, I don’t have an account anymore). Maybe I hoped I might learn something. As if! People make the absolute same posts over and over. Today I read a book! I read one page of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and I already know it’s a...
Hi all you smart lads and lasses, My home server is currently running openmediavault 5 and the admin panel will not load anymore. I’m unable to run omv-repair or any of their similar commands, so I’ve been keeping it up-to-date with ash and apt....
There seem to be plentiful options for text chat servers, so I’m curious for those that self-host their own, what their preferences & experiences have been with them....

Hey I was just wondering if anyone had experience streaming NFL games that happened last week to catch up? I use Kodi for streaming if that helps. I already have Fen, Seren, and The Crew add-ons...

So I’m pretty new to this, but have a Linux system set as a torrent box / emby server. I’m running protonvpn cli with permanent killswitch and qbittorrent set to use the VPN tunnel....
In light of the recently announced price increase, I’m seriously considering moving all my backups from B2 to Storj as Storj is only charging $0.004/GB . As it’s mostly just a backup, I don’t really need the free egress and I travel a lot so not being tied to a single DC location is also appealing. What do you guys think?...
It always says image too large now, even ones I’ve posted before. I even made them less quality and still says too large. Any ideas?
As much as I adore paperless-ngx for its UX, I hate it for its tech-stack. Idling it already uses 300 MB RAM, when changing a few metadata fields on a document it easily spikes to 700 oder 800 MB. That’s insane for the work it actually does. Is there anything more lightweight? All I need is metadata management and a gallery...
Started learning Linux with Manjaro a few years ago, but there were always stability issues pushing me away from daily driving. I found when I did have time to use my PC, it was largely for gaming, and when any issue presented and needed to be fixed it was a bit of a barrier to entry....
I see some very good deals on RackNerd through LowEndbox. Is the company reliable? I.e. I’m hoping there’s not going to be a situation like NexusBytes. Could someone confirm?
