I love being triple booked and having two pm’s annoyed that I didn’t turn up… “bitch isn’t scheduling half your job? Did you not check if I was available?”
I’ve worked at so many places where there are multiple mid-level managers with overlapping responsibilities and staff. It just leads to conflicting orders and the people who get in trouble when things don’t get done are the workers and never the managers who issued impossible tasks.
Does anybody have the link to the guy whose project car got booted on all four wheels, so he just put it on dollies, wheeled it into his garage, and told the boot company that they can have their boots back whenever they’d like but he’s certainly not paying them anything?
If I recall correctly, it was briefly parked on the street without an HOA parking pass while he reorganized his garage so that he’d have more space to work on it
The boot company ended up calling the cops on him for stealing their boots; “I didn’t steal them, they can have them back whenever they want” was enough that the cops just laughed at the situation and fucked off
Yeah, that’s the part that always gets downplayed in these ‘homeowner revenge’ stories. HOAs can really fuck you over. Sometimes they get bankrupted in a lawsuit, sometimes you lose your sanity and your home.
Yep, they put liens on your property and can foreclose on your house from under you, without you even knowing. They can put it up on auction and sell it without informing you.
I scheduled another meeting at 10. It's about the meeting we had at 8:30. Productivity is down and we need to figure out why. We may need some additional meetings in the afternoon.
Is my file in onedrive? Or on disk? Or is it in sharepoint? Or it could be in a teams chat - but isn’t that just sharepoint? I sent it to Tom also, but it was already in sharepoint because I had sent it to Jim, so it re-named it to something else. Where in sharepoint are my teams files? Or the teams files others have sent me? Is this actually an attachment on my email or is it a “shared link” in disguise?
if you search “Free VPN” on playstore, turboVPN is ranked higher than proton
Edit: and I see its reviews are also negative, probably because of the connection issues (I’ve been having the issue too, takes a long time to connect if it even does
I can’t speak for the popularity of TurboVPN, or the probable ease in which companies can manipulate download numbers, but note the “+” on the end of each number.
NordVPN could have 99,999,995 downloads, TurboVPN can have 100,000,002 downloads, but one would be 50M+ and the other would be 100M+.
Maybe something like this service. Find it a bit dishonest if you ask me, but I don’t think it affects competition that much. People will try multiple apps if they don’t find what they are looking for.
Ah yeah, quite possible! Would have thought Google would be on top of this though, but probably not? The service in the mail does not seem to exist anymore, but was able to check them out with Wayback Machine; web.archive.org/web/…/www.appenhancer.com/
Would have thought Google would be on top of this though, but probably not?
It’s against play store ToS, but if somehow you can make it look organic enough it might be difficult to proof. In truth I don’t know how this kind of services operate. I do think Google would try to counter this as much as possible yes. And 8M reviews can’t be just from this kind of services, at some point you have real users engagement, you just need the initial visibility boost.
It’s probably not on twitters archive anymore. Back in like, idk, 2011? 2013? Kenny Powers (@KFUCKINGP) tweeted the most beautiful tweet to this sentiment.
“I smoke weed when I smoke weed, bitch. Not on some fuckin day in April.”
And since it’s likely been lost to time and poor management, I wanted to share it with you all from memory.
