I had an emailed a question that I didn’t really know where to go with, so I asked Copilot to answer the email factually. Sent that email with a note of ai origin, but it was close enough and got us into right track
While I never had it happen, it could give you wrong command line switches that do damage. For example, when I asked how I could list volumes attached to an AWS instance, it gave me a “modify-volume” command instead of “describe-volume” command. Thankfully, I caught that before I cut and paste it.
You can ask it for source now with browser integration. Previously the browser extension was a separate model with gpt3.5 which was pretty bad, now it’s just integrated into gp4. It works a million times better and it’s great that it doesn’t break the flow of the conversation.
Be as secure as you will, if you see your SO in a romance scene in a typical hig h profile movie with all the right camera angles and music and all... it's bound to do at least something to you, right?
I'm not suggesting that they might assume any of the acted scene had real feelings behind it. Yet still, visually seeing your SO seemingly doing intimate stuff will make you feel something. You might not be jealous or anything, yet still. That has nothing to do with insecurity. You can feel awkward without jealousy, can't you?
There are plenty of people who are completely comfortable with their partners being strippers or porn stars. It’s just their work at the end of the day.
I’m sure plenty of people don’t really feel anything about it.
There are plenty of people who are completely comfortable with their partners being strippers or porn stars.
From a purely logical standpoint, given the number of strippers and porn stars out there, that statement must be true. It’s not quite something I can wrap my head around though.
there are also people who genuinely feel happy for their SOs in these situations. Compersion is real and fucking wonderful. not enough people know 'bout it.
As a former polyamoric person, here’s how I (still) think of it: You can’t control your feelings (they are merely physical reactions to situations) but you can control how you deal with them. Or how you act on them.
So in a sense, in my opinion, you’re both correct.
I mean, it comes down to jealousy, right? And that’s an emotion… You can’t really control your emotions
I think it’s more a matter of “is this a deal breaker”. Some people just might avoid those movies, some people might need to see it and get reassurance, some people can’t handle it at all. And some people just aren’t bothered - there’s people who are fine with their partner dating other people so long as they come home at the end of the night
Not really. Especially when you know what goes into filming them. From modesty underwear to lighting to 30 people around you just doing their thing for the production.
As a spouse of an actor you’d think you know just how “fake” the music and emotional impact is.
Yeah, and that something can be communicated. But at the end of the day it’s their job. I follow a therapist on YouTube that talks about his wife’s modeling career on occasion and he never really cared. He saw the work that goes into it and knows it’s just that - work. I think on the rare occasions it did bring up some feelings of jealousy he communicated the insecurity and got reassurance from her. That obviously worked well enough that they’ve been married a couple decades.
On the work end, keep in mind how many times they have to shoot scenes/photos and how extremely unromantic/inauthentic it is.
Just because you wouldn’t be doesn’t mean everyone is the same, people have feelings. Even polyamorous people get jealous at times, it’s a normal thing.
I’m so secure that my wife’s boyfriend told me he was taking her away to the cabin for the weekend and I decided I’d have the guys over for a poker night. They’re just good friends.
I assume they mean more like… Sterile? Walmart always puts me off by how cold and uninviting it is. Just a white warehouse with metal shelves, fluorescent lights, and linoleum floors. There’s no life to them like other smaller stores.
Wait until you hear about the laws in place that guarantee them access to water their fields no matter the drought. Nobody has heard of an unkempt golf course.
Oh boy, the unlawfulness of USA. This would be clearly illegal in EU, as misleading pricing.
Even if stated there’s an 18% extra fee, I’m pretty sure it would be illegal to state prices exclusively without it.
I would simply refuse to pay that fee if it was here, and report them to authorities.
You’re probably right. But judging from other comments in sounded like a small note on the front cover of a menu saying ‘there will be a flat rate surcharge’ would not be adequate.
Obviously, this is a horrible way for me to collect legal advice, but would a fine-print note on a menu fly? (interpret ‘fly’ however, I’m clearly naïve here.)
Scummy businesses sure exist but you would never see this in Amsterdam or Paris. I’m pretty sure there are laws that whatever price is shown is the final price.
I feel like calling this an ad is a stretch, I get it ads suck. I hate ads, too. This is just the merch of the channel you clicked on, though. It’s fine, I don’t have it in me to care about a few images below a part of the user experience I never look at.
so you are accepting of the entire screen being a merch plug if it’s a video segment, of if it’s in the description which either does indeed take up screen real estate, or you are only accepting because you don’t look at descriptions. but you aren’t accepting of merch in a small section that used to be basically nothing?
i just don’t follow your logic, it just sounds like you saw something new and immediately reacted without thinking it through.
if this was an actual ad, people would be with you on this. but it just isn’t. it’s some merch that the youtuber sells. fuck them for trying to make a living right? they can only make a living if they actively hide any way that they could make a living.
let’s say you go to a movie theatre, they sell food in the concessions on the way in. is that an ad? or are they just selling shit and also you’re gonna go watch a movie. maybe you want popcorn. maybe you want a mug.
if they were to play an ad roll for all the merch before the video, sure, that’s an ad. but that’s not happening, op just went to a users youtube page and saw that there is a section for the users merch.
I’ll restate what I said because you didn’t quite go for it I didn’t say they put up advertising the food, I said they sell food.
let’s say you go to a movie theatre, they sell food in the concessions on the way in. is that an ad? or are they just selling shit and also you’re gonna go watch a movie. maybe you want popcorn. maybe you want a mug.
So the sign above the food telling you that there is popcorn here is an ad for you? If you see anything that indicates you can buy something that’s an ad for you? Wild. That’s not the case for the rest of us but okay.
No, if I see and advert advertising something then it’s an ad. If OP had gone to the guys merch store the listing would not be ads, but they are being advertised below the video.
It’s about intent, a sign at the food stall isn’t an ad because you are already there intending to buy something, but if they advertised the popcorn in the theatre itself then its an ad since you aren’t at the theatre with intent to buy food.
So when OP clicked the video he wanst intending to buy from the merch store so it’s an advert because its trying to convince him to go to the merch store and spend money.
When you go to the cinema, you are intending to watch a movie. Before you go into the cinema you see them selling popcorn, you want popcorn, you buy the popcorn. You go into the cinema, then an actual ad plays on the cinema screen before the movie.
This is the distinction. What you think of as an ad, no one else does. That’s all. You think something is an ad. The rest of us totally disagree. You think anyone listing things for sale outside of a dedicated and importantly separate space is an ad. The rest of us totally disagree.
I understand you now, but your idea of an ad is absolutely not the same as everyone else’s.
You’re not wrong, but original point could still be right, depending in the road. There are many federal highways and interstates, where this equivalence makes sense. However most other roads are state, county or city owned.
What I want to know about that accident is, which idiot kept spreading the lie that the search teams were hearing “banging noises” every half hour, long after the sub had imploded.
Yeah man talkin bout dang ol 𝔖𝔴𝔬𝔯𝔡 𝔬𝔣 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝔘𝔫𝔡𝔢𝔞𝔡 and back o’ the dang ol cave man. Talkin about fighting off dang ol skeletons with my bb gun man and dang ol sunuvaguns just come right back man. Just ain’t right.
This gave me an idea for a fantasy dramedy about hobbit moonshiners. Unfortunately, I’m not a writer so if anyone wants to take my four word pitch and run with it please do
