I’ll sit next to 1, and I’ll spend the entire flight talking to him about my .NET setup on Windows and how to date Visual Studio is still the best IDE available for any mainstream programming language.
I’d consider vscode to still be a text editor, although I do really like using it for TypeScript. For me, VS still takes the crown because it’s just so good at debugging and evaluating C#. It’s hard for anyone to compete since Microsoft largely owns (yes, I know the .NET Foundation is responsible for .NET) the whole ecosystem.
Vanilla vscode is not an IDE, true. But that’s a moot point as you can load that shit up with a bajillion extensions and turn it into what’s basically a proper IDE.
I was so excited for Rider, especially since I do like some of the features of other JetBrains IDE’s, but I’ve found it just too unreliable when it comes to build support, and despite years of dominance in tooling from the ReSharper days VS intellisense is just much nicer. It’s very close though, and IMO Rider is nicer to use for C# than IntelliJ or PyCharm are for their respective languages.
It has seamless integration with the language and framework, and to date (outside of TypeScript support in vscode) I’m yet to use anything that comes close to the level of control in debugging. IntelliJ shits the bed at even basic Gradle builds.
On Friday, as we were running around the hospital where we work trying to get every computer working again, we were following the work-around to rename the Crowdstrike folder under C:\Windows\system32\drivers to “bad-CrowdStrike”.
When my coworker was typing the rename command, instead of typing “cro TAB”, he started typing “clo TAB”. He’d ask me why it wasn’t finding it, and I’d point out the typo.
I started saying, it’s not “CloudStrike”, it’s “CrowdStrike”.
By the end of the day, we were both a little loopy. I started typing “CloudStrike”, and cursing him out for screwing with my head. By the end of the day I wasn’t sure what it was either.

When I first heard about what was going on, I assumed that “CrowdStrike” was not the name of the software/company, but rather some sort of advanced DDOS-like attack where they used systems they’d previously hacked and had them all do the same thing at once to another target.

Strong agree, and something I hope Survivor corrected. I haven’t gotten a chance to play the second yet, but I’m looking forward to it regardless since I really did enjoy the first game despite its flaws.
Ahh, okay. I actually really enjoy hub design when it’s done properly (e.g. Dark Souls 1). I’ll probably start Survivor after I finish Nier Replicant remake (and game that’s got kind of a primitive hub design, come to think of it).

Nope. I married a bpd woman when I was young and she eventually turned on everyone in her life. Not saying people with bpd don’t deserve treatment and sympathy but interacting with someone with untreated bpd is exhausting, traumatic, and not worth it.

I dont think its weird to find autism attractive. Depending on who you ask, it might be called a disorder or just a normal trait. It’s the same way that any trait can be attractive.
Well, I didn’t find a real, good definition of ‘fetishizing’ but, if we agree on the one I’ll provide below, you should be able to answer for yourself in this and future cases.^1
Fetishization is the choice to extremely, positively overweight one or more intrinsic qualities of a person or group of people, such that there is a sexual or romantic preference of a person or group of people based on that innate trait, irrespective of their overall character as a person.
Autism is weird for this definition because, while it is an inherent facet of a person, it does have a large effect on how a person grows up. This obviously shapes their character.
As an experiment, take your hypothetical dream person. A second party is a necessity for mental grounding. If you can find another person to assist, have them swap out character traits (social, personal, mental, etc.) until you find a point you’d no longer find the hypothetical dream person appealing.
Anyway, hope you can do some self-study and find that answer.

Going with that definition, I don’t fetishize autistic women because my perception of a women’s sexiness is not affected by neurotype. It’s the relationship and connection that I would value with an autistic woman over others.
