Make sure to select your language for your post. I know it seems like it should be intuitive, but atm it is still giving people problems. Also check to see under your user settings that you have english (or whichever languages) selected you want to see/read/use. Communities with the same names do not share comments on different servers. Each one is their own entity. You can choose to participate in any or all.
Thank you. A little confusing having communities with the same name, but I can understand that. I haven’t found a setting for language in settings (I’m using connect) but will try on the web version.
You also have to go to a good theater, because a lot of the time you go and the picture is too dim and out of focus, and the sound system isn’t balanced properly. That will be $60 dollars.

Naw, an instance is a server that can host content, but it’s connected to every other instance that agrees to federate with each other. You can think of it as an email address, Gmail and Yahoo have their own features but can communicate with each other no problem.
I can post on the Lemmy website (typing this on my desktop right now), and I have downloaded and installed a couple of the apps listed above on my Android phone, but I can’t log-in into any of them.
I have tried many times over a couple of days now so I don’t think it is because of the Reddit refugees swarming this site or those apps, but maybe I am wrong.
One rather confusing thing is that when I try to log into wefwef for instance (but I think the other apps have something similar), it asks for Account’s server. I don’t know. I pick lemmy.world but I am only assuming that is correct. Then the next screen asks for username or email. I’ve tried “Hazdaz”, I have also tried the email this account is tied to. I have tried all lowercase. I have double and triple checked my password. But everytime it says “double check your credentials”.
In the UK I feel like we’ve come out of a huge price hike. Things are relatively affordable now. Now though there’s also more cinemas that offer a premium price for a more premium service - IMAX/Dolby Vision, big reclining seats etc that I happily pay more for.
This isn’t mildly infuriating, Musk is being the biggest fedi advocate out there! He’s selflessly nuking his own site so he can drive traffic to decentralized alternatives. This is a good thing lol, and should be an important lesson on link rot, and that social media should never be the primary method of communication.
