I got it very late in its lifespan, just a few years ago, and I feel that a lot. I remember the proprietary memory cards being the major issue I had that prevented me from buying one originally, and they’re even more of an issue now that they’re out of production and the ones available are aging.
Thankfully, the homebrew scene provided workarounds to use microSD, but you lose the ability to play cartridges easily, so I haven’t done so myself.
It’s really a great console though. Basically a pocket PS2.5 I’d say. Sometimes closer to a pocket PS3. Plus the ability to play cross platform PS3 games, certain PS2 remasters, and Sonys (then) whole offering of PS1 ports really opens up the library on top of the smattering of quality Native Vita titles it had.
Dude do remember when the PS4 launched and it had the remote play function? I thought that was so cool. Things like that to me showed me that Sony was really making new leaps for handheld, but just kinda gave up?
The main thing that bothers me about Connect are the ‘Material You’ colours. Can’t figure out how to get it just black and white. So for now I’m on Jerboa.
How is it legal to make up a fee then offer a paid membership to avoid the fee you just made up? How is that different from the mob guys that would collect your “insurance” membership so that you didn’t incur a “business burned down” fee?
My oldest cat (13) is a long cat. When she was 6 months I adopted her she still had the kitten belly and retained it for it a good while. Because she’s so long her stomach bulge was in the middle of her body instead of near her hind legs which is hilarious. Because of that her nickname was always Bean/Beanie because she was shaped like a green bean.
Anyway. When Disenchantment came out I had a huge soft spot for it because of Princess Bean.
Nothing wrong with this. Their business their choice. Only time will tell if it was a good choice. depending where it is I dont think it will be. I think everyone is tired of the back and forth bs !
They can barely keep the current site glued together. They don’t have the talent anymore to create something new. The people that could do it have been fired or just bailed. The remaining ones are hostages.
For those who don’t know, these are called mammatus clouds (literally coming from “mammary”). They are typically found on the trailing edge of large thunderhead cumulonimbus (anvil-shaped) clouds.
Oh cool haha! My mom asked me what kind of clouds those were and I was more clueless than a grandparent with a smart phone. I thought they were just neat cumulus clouds.
I think in the age of streaming saturation, going to movies still offer an experience for people vs watching Netflix on your couch. It should ultimately be something that’s most of all, fun, and exciting.
Nobody should ever feel like they are getting ripped off for the money they paid, even if everything is getting more expensive, and having blatant tagged on fees, or request for tips for things that didn’t use to ask for tips, just makes people feel bad that they got cheated out of their money. And that’s not fun.
