It depends what you’re playing on it, for sure. I Can get a couple hours of GameCube or PS2, and a few hours of older games. I mostly use it for the former, though I’ll occasionally use it for platformers that need more precision than the Analogue Pocket’s dpad Can provide. It’s still a mushy dpad, but much less prone to false diagonals than Analogues.
I guess he found out that selenium script kiddies like myself can simply scrape the website instead of paying the api fees. It’s not as efficient — or maybe my scripts just suck — but you can’t beat free!
Or, more cynically, they’re making the app more painful to use if you aren’t paying for it.
I could see that, yeah. It’s funny because I was just arguing with someone on Reddit the other day, claiming that making our own API using a scraper would be simple and easy.
I pointed out that scraping can invoke bans and is easily worked around by the service. Apparently Twitter doesn’t know how to detect scraping so just went with “NO ONE USES THE SITE FOR MORE THAN 20 MINUTES A DAY!”
I got a $600 projector and have about 90 inch display ( can hit 120 if my apartment was bigger). No need to go to a cinema, overpay for drinks and snacks, and I can pause and pee whenever I want.
I have a very good setup at home but we still like going to the cinema once in a while, it’s more of an event and we don’t spend the movie with our nose in our phones.
We do select movies where it’s worth it, big action, etc. Last one was the new avatar in “4D” where they splash you with sprays, the seats move and you feel the wind, pretty cool.
I think the real money now is selling data for AI training. At least that’s the vibe I’m getting now from all these social media sites limiting API shit. We live in weird times.
I have the 2ds XL, and I love it. I’ve always wanted to try the 3D on the New 3ds, but never had a chance. Link Between Worlds is one of my favorite Zelda games.
That’s the Retroid Pocket Flip. It’s an Android emulation device. Can handle most things ps1 and older, and a good bit of GameCube and ps2 libraries also.
