To be completely fair, in some US states you can deposit a bond (usually surety or treasury) with the government and that counts as your insurance. No one would ever want to do that if they are remotely insurable because it’s rather expensive compared to paying insurance premiums.

I have tons of those. I still mark every single one of them read. Only time I ever leave anything unread is when I need a reminder to get back to it later.

I was totally dysfunctional 20 years ago (just playing video games all the time) and even dropped out of high school before that. I’ve since learned coping strategies that work for me but it’s still way more difficult than it should be!

If you can find TVP in the shops, in a steak shape, that stuff is ridiculous. You just cook them in a vegetable broth, press out the water and then sear them like a steak in a pan. The Maillard reaction turns the protein into that typical seared meat taste and it’s similarly chewy, too.
Granted I have been vegetarian for a bit too long to really judge it, but I did also immediately gag on my first bite, because my body was convinced I was biting into meat.
This isn’t a gotcha to them. They do believe in the power of the state, as far as it regulates normies. They see that extremely wealthy people are above the law, and assume they got that way via secret magic spells rather than starting with wealth and privilege.
The sovcit stuff is a cargo cult trying to reverse engineer the magic spells, for people who lack the analytical ability to understand the source of the inequality of today’s society.
I can kinda see why they think this way. I went to court recently and the Magistrate and all the lawyers have these strange phrases and rituals that don’t get used in regular parlance, so Im not surprised that sovcits think that if they learn the magic language of the court, they can get their way. But its just a bunch of old-timey Victorian era routine.
It’s possible, but children are much smarter than most people give them credit for. They’re most likely aware their parent is a nutter, and none of their nonsense is working for them.
