Not gonna lie, even though I love futurama to death, this episode list is worrying me - seems like they are focusing too much on (soon to be, if not already) dated pop culture trends.
Same. The “topical” episodes are rarely great, and they’re often among my least favorite. Who looks forward to Decision 3012, Proposition Infinity, or Attack of the Killer App coming up in their playlist? I generally skip those. There are some good ones, like A Clockwork Origin, but they seem to be the exception. Those episodes also tend not to age well (Attack of the Killer App being the worst offender here in my opinion), and, as you said, several of these themes have been old news for several years now. I’m definitely looking forward to the second half of the season more than the first.
Yes this is great! Between this and wefwef which is Apollo lookalike right now for iOS ppl this is great! Just need everyone over to Lemmy now but that’ll prob take decades
Sorry. I should clarify. I was reading a thread about Apollo going offline and Boost as an alternative so a preregisterd for Boost. I wouldn’t turn down an official Apollo app for Lemmy though.
Some said that they had read Christian acknowledging Lemmy and that he said if it maintains this kind of user growth, he might work on Apollo for Lemmy.
I’m a total noob so using lemmy was a real challenge to get started, but I downloaded wefwef today and it’s basically just like Reddit, very easy to use and feels very comfortable.
Connect for lemmy is also the same experience as reddit. It’s little unstable like any other lemmy app but I don’t miss reddit while using it feels like i am just using a different app for reddit 😁😁
It’s me! I’m one of the new joiners! I’ve been enjoying the content and discussion here in the last day since I created my profile here. I have noticed a bit of lag and issues with things loading. I know there was a software update and obviously a sudden influx of new users. As frustrating as it was to have to move apps and communitie and despite the obvious growing pains, I have been happy to find a new community that is friendly and vibrant as this one!
Also tried wefwef. It looks cool and all, but it's a web app in the end. Not really a fan of those and they tend to consume more battery than the native experience.
You don't need an account to download releases, but now that you have an account I think it's the universe telling you to pick up programming and to give your soul to the GitHub like the rest of us.
I was literally walking past and took a couple of snaps so can’t really take credit for how good it looks, that’s all down to the lady on the hill. It’s hard to take a bad picture of her.
I like Jerboa so far. I haven’t experienced any lag But it’s annoying that when I go back to the list of posts or comments, the cursor automatically jumps to the top and I don’t want to scroll back to where I’ve been.
